Chapter 19 - Chap 19 – A Safe Haven in Chaos: Seda’s Illusionary Magic

Despite Seda's attempt to intervene, the tense and gloomy mood remained palpable in the air. Emma's anger boiled over as she unleashed a kick straight to Elora's stomach, causing the latter to double over in pain. In a quick follow-up, Elizabeth hit Elora with a hard punch to the face, sending her stumbling backward.

Seda, fearing for Adriel's safety amidst the chaos, swiftly scooped him up and carried him away to a safer distance. Adriel, completely oblivious to the intense fighting and movement around him, remained calm and unfazed by the sudden change in speed, much to Seda's relief.

In the heat of the moment, Elizabeth's focus shifted to Adriel as she yelled out, "That cow got Adriel!" Without hesitation, she swiftly abandoned the ongoing fight and sprinted down the school hallway in hot pursuit of Adriel.

As Elora and Emma caught up to Elizabeth, their anger and frustration continued to mount, their feet pounding against the ground in a frenzied panic. The chaos they created caused a wave of panic among the students as they scattered and fled, leaving the three girls in hot pursuit of Adriel.

Amidst the commotion, Elora's voice rang out, "You're not going to get away with this! Adriel is mine!

Emma's expression twisted into a sneer as she snarled, "Yeah, and I'll make sure you regret ever crossing my way!"

As the girls' pursuit continued down the school hallway, chaos erupted in their wake. The sound of pounding footsteps echoed off the walls as they ran, creating a sense of urgency that only fueled the growing panic of the students.

With every passing moment, the level of pandemonium increased. Lockers slammed shut, backpacks were dropped, and students tripped over each other in their desperate attempts to escape the danger that seemed to be closing in around them.

Amidst the chaos, Elizabeth's voice rang out, "I need to find Adriel and get out of here!" Her tone was urgent, reflecting the gravity of the situation at hand.

Seda regarded Adriel with a worried expression before turning her attention to the girls. "You guys are insane if you think I'm going to let Adriel get caught up in this," she said firmly. With a swift flick of her wrist, she conjured an illusionary spell that enveloped the surrounding area, shielding Adriel from the danger that lurked beyond.

As the spell took hold, Adriel's surroundings began to shift and change. The once-bustling school corridor was transformed into a tranquil, serene space, complete with lush greenery and soft, gentle music. The harsh fluorescent lighting was replaced with a warm, comforting glow, and the frenzied footsteps of the approaching girls were muffled to a distant whisper.

Adriel looked around in wonder, taking in the peaceful atmosphere that surrounded him. The tension and fear that had gripped him moments before began to dissipate, replaced with a sense of calm and tranquility. "What's happening?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Seda gave him a reassuring smile. "We're in a safe place now," she said, her voice low and soothing. "You don't need to worry about anything."

As the girls closed in, Seda's nerves frayed and she knew that they needed to act quickly. With a quick incantation, she transformed the familiar school corridors into a confusing and disorienting labyrinth. "That should buy us some time," Seda muttered to herself.

Elora, who had been trailing behind the group, caught up and assessed the situation. "Listen up, we may not like each other, but we're going to have to team up if we want to get out of here and rescue Adriel," she said grudgingly.

Emma and Elizabeth exchanged wary glances, but they knew that Elora was right. They nodded in agreement, ready to set aside their differences for the sake of their friend. "Fine, but let's make it quick," Emma said, her tone clipped and tense.

Elora and Emma both focused their magical abilities on discovering the weak point in Seda's illusion spell, while Elizabeth kept watch on the back end.

"Ugh, what is that old lady doing to Adriel right now?" Elizabeth grumbled, her frustration mounting.

"Almost there," Emma said, her concentration deepening.

Seda's spell was a complex and powerful magic that required a vast amount of mana to sustain. As a result, she could not maintain the spell's full strength and had to allocate most of her mana to break through Adriel's strong magical defenses. Adriel's high charm stats made him incredibly resistant to illusion spells, which made it difficult to cast spells on him. Despite Seda's efforts to maintain both illusions, Elora's extensive knowledge of magic allowed her to detect and exploit the weak points in the spell, breaking it with ease.

Emma initially had the plan to abandon the group and escape the illusion by herself, leaving the rest of them trapped. However, upon realizing the danger of facing Seda alone, Emma abandoned her plan and chose to stay with the group. Emma was aware of Seda's proficiency in magic and knew that challenging her alone would be impossible.

When they finally reached Seda's location, they found her in a room that was decorated like a romantic getaway, with Adriel unconscious on the bed.

"You're going to pay for this, Seda," Elora seethed, her anger boiling over.

Just as Elora was about to strike, Adriel suddenly woke up and asked, "What's going on here, guys?"
