The wind could blow away the scent on me, but it couldn't blow away people's discussions.
My goal in designing this performance was to gain the power of external discussions. Marshall cheated in public and made a fool of himself. I was the complete victim in this scenario. Not only did I want everyone to scold Marshall and Beyonce for being shameless, but I also wanted to gather everyone's gazes onto me.
I'm the innocent luna. Me straightening my back in front of the various tribes despite my husband's embarrassing behavior was me trying to protect my pride. It was also the last bit of my stubbornness.
To the public, it wasn't important what was right or what was wrong. People always stood on the weaker side.
I stood alone in the wind, doing my best to act sad.
Under my relentless efforts to pretend to be lonely and pitiful, I finally attracted the attention of everyone.
