[Margaret's perspective]
In the dim light, I saw Eric's face drenched in cold sweat; his lips were too pale. I paused and then continued, "Eric, you and Mark get in the car with me. Everyone else hurry up and get in, we're leaving."
Hearing my voice seemed to relax Eric. He crouched down next to me, wincing as he moved, as if pulling at a wound that had not yet healed, his teeth clenched with sweat pouring out!
Our convoy started moving. I bent down to open the medical kit at my feet, took out a small box, and handed it to Eric, "This was sudden, so you'll have to make do with some painkillers for now. Once we're at a safe place, I'll have someone treat you."
Startled by my words, Eric quickly raised his hands to take it and said hoarsely, "Thank you, Your Highness. I'm sorry for the trouble."
