[Margaret's perspective]
The hospital room was very quiet, Donald didn't answer my question aloud.
My head felt a little dizzy, my body extremely weak, and my stomach so hungry I could eat a whole cow. I opened my eyes somewhat discontentedly and looked at Donald, my gaze questioning him, "Why did you suddenly stop talking?"
But when I saw the smile on Donald's handsome face clearly, the dissatisfaction in my eyes dissipated instantly, and curiosity and wonder began to fill my heart. "Did something happen? Why do you look so happy?"
As I spoke, I reached out and touched the corners of Donald's upward-curving lips, then added, "Did you catch Henry and Levi? Or is there a breakthrough in Licia's disappearance? What are you smiling about? You look so silly."
Donald's happiness was contagious. With a mixture of helplessness and a smile, I looked at him, my heart soft and warm.
