[Margaret's POV]

"I know you love your mother very much and don't want to upset the balance between us three because of some insignificant people, so..."

Before I could finish speaking, Donald suddenly interrupted me.

It seemed he pondered a lot before he started speaking again, "So, this won't set a precedence. If you ever feel aggrieved like this again, you must tell me right away, no matter who it is."

The meaning of 'no matter who it is' here implied that no matter who made me feel aggrieved in the future, even if it's Licia, Donald would stand by my side.

I understood what he meant, and I felt even sweeter inside, but I wasn't surprised at all.

Donald has always been a ruler who acts with integrity and propriety. He wouldn't blindly take sides just because the person who did wrong was his mother; he has his own standards and thoughts for judging situations.

I nodded gently, knowing that the matter would be set aside for the time being.
