"Lycan Queen, are you alright?" Benjamin asked cautiously.
I turned back to look at him, inaudibly gasping for breath, and answered, "I'm fine. Thank you for telling me so much today; I'll be going now."
Upon hearing this, Benjamin merely nodded, without adding anything further.
With a respectful bow, Benjamin retreated, while I, followed by a silent Ruth, turned and left the side hall.
The journey back through several corridors to rejoin the banquet felt slightly heavy with each step I took…
