Margaret, delivering a bandage to me, spoke with a worried tone.
I was well aware of our grim situation, and after a heavy sigh, I replied, "The road behind us might be even worse! We haven't even completed half of Starry Ravine yet, and the rain doesn't seem to want to stop. It looks like we will have to spend the night in the ravine."
