Their gazes were no longer firm, their occasional glances towards Levi made this Alpha all the more passive.
"Such a golden opportunity comes but once, and if you don't make a stand now, don't blame me for being inhospitable," I said aloud, raising the gun in my hand, pointing it straight at Levi's heart.
Levi remained silent, his eyes dark and full of resentment as he looked at me. I sensed something in the pit of my stomach, a bad premonition quickly rising. "You wouldn't be foolish enough to cooperate with Henry and move Margaret's location, would you? Do you know what the consequences of angering me are?"
I tested him with my question. Levi slowly curved his lips into a grin, suddenly replying, "You're not as stupid as I thought. I didn't think you'd notice our stalling tactic!"
My facial expression swiftly turned cold at his words, my eyes filling with murderous intent as I locked gaze with Levi.
