"Anthony? Are you suggesting to assign Anthony to investigate the underwater passage? But he's still outside now; wouldn't it be a bit late to rush him here?"
When I mentioned Anthony's name, Christian seemed a bit surprised but he quickly came to accept it. Recalling our previous meeting with Anthony outside, he asked me with confusion.
I took a light breath and explained, "I did have another assignment for him before, but the circumstances have changed, and investigating the passage is clearly more important now. Anthony is an excellent Beta; he's meticulous, patient, brave, and strategic—it's perfect to entrust him with this task!"
As I spoke, I looked back at Christian and hooked the corner of my mouth as I continued, "As for your concern that he's outside and might not make it in time for the task... Don't worry, I reckon you'll see him in about 5 minutes!"
