[Margaret's Perspective]
I glanced at the medicine on the plate, and as expected, they were all stomach-nourishing and pain-relieving drugs. Of course, the one with no label must be the real medication he meant to use for my recuperation!
I quickly withdrew my gaze without reaching for them. I don't trust Simo, so naturally, I wouldn't use the medicines he brought.
The lights in the sickroom were very bright. I pulled the covers back over myself and listened intently to the conversation between Simo and the guard at the door.
Touching my belly, I murmured in my heart, "We will be fine. The Moon goddess will surely protect us!"
[Henry's Perspective]
After the Medical Practitioner reported Margaret's condition to me, I felt a slight sense of relief!
I even felt some gratitude that things hadn't turned out as I had imagined, perhaps Margaret and Donald were never meant to be together.
