Elsie's Point of View
Having Cleopatra here was quite helpful for me. For the time being, I didn't want to think about the negatives that are plotting to break my wall of power. Dad's words when he was alive were my benchmarks for responding to my current sadness, making them the pillars of my fragile and almost collapsing building.
"You're a fighter. You should fight."
His words were really useful for me at this time.
"Elsie." Kyler's low-voice echoed through the ward following his whereabouts regardless of the rules I gave him yesterday. The line on his face showed a seriousness that spontaneously made my mind wonder. What else is this?
"What's wrong, Ky?" I asked, starting to be flooded with panic seeing the look on that face.
