Landing on the ground, the body of slime jiggled like a pudding. As the sun shined on the clear-blue-water like inside of the slime, it had a beautiful sheen. Looking at it, Damian couldn't help but find the monster cute.

Reading the status above its head, Damian confirmed the identity of the monster and was surprised upon seeing the first monster that gave him the true feel of a fantasy world.
Observing the creature he had only read about in novels and seen in images, Damian wasn't able to react when the slime suddenly leaped at him.
Small tenticals started to emerge from the surface of the slime's body the moment it made contact with Damian's hand. Acting as hands, or rather tongues, the tenticals pulled themselves towards his hand.
In just a second, the football-sized slime had solowed the half to Damian's left hand. Damian was surprised by the sudden attachment to his hand, and was about to shake the slime off when...
*Blurb! Blurb!*
It started shaking, and in the next moment...
"Ahhhhh!"
A pained scream escaped Damian's mouth, as he felt his hand burning. Looking down, he saw his hands in the water like inside of the slime with small bubbles raising from its surface.
The big round eyes staring at him didn't look cute to Damian anymore. Inside the smooth and shiny surface, the monster was burning his hand. And that remained him not to judge a book by its cover the hard way.
"Ahhhh!"
As another wave of pain assaulted his hand, the pain awakened Damian from his stupor as the realisation of his hand being corroded by the slime stuck to him. Panicked Damian held the slime tightly, pulling it away... or tried to do so.
The body of the slime wasn't only smooth, it was slippery as well. No matter how hard he clenched, Damian couldn't get a grip on it. The moment he tried to pull, it slipped out from his palm.
*Blurb! Blurb!*
The more the slime shook, the more Damian panicked.
Seeing that the method wasn't working, Damian immediately sat down. Pressing his left hand under his feet, he pulled with all his strength.
Brave, who has been trying to find a way to help her master, didn't miss the opportunity to bite the slime... or she tried to.
As Brave's sharp teeth bit the smooth body of slime, they were only able to press it a little before it slipped out of their gasp.
"Damn it! Get away from me!" Roaring at the top of his lungs, Damian bit the slime, pulling with all his strength.
"Uhhh!" Feeling the slime moving away, just when Damian thought that his labour would bear fruit, the slime slipped out of his jaws, forcing them shut. And as if that wasn't enough, the recoil sent his body back to the ground.
"Ahhhhh!" Yet another scream made its way through Damian's mouth as the pain suddenly insreased.
Looking at his hand, Damian's panic only increased upon seeing the rising number of bubbles rising from his hand.
"Move, Brave!" With another roar, Damian pulled his sword out of the inventory, ordering the still trying Brave to move away.
Aiming for the body of the slime outside his hand, Damian raised his sword and stabbed it down with full force.
Unfortunately, this attempt too wasn't destined to bear any fruit, much like the other ones. The sword, upon coming into contact with the body, was only able to squeeze it a little before bouncing back.
Determined to not give up, Damian set the edge of the sword on the slime and pushed it down. Slowly, the sword pressed the slime's body and, after reaching the limit, slipped to the side.
"Uhh!" Damian wasn't only grunting at the physical pain, but the psychological as well, upon seeing the sword that had impaled many Wild rats on the ground, slipping away as if it was made of plastic.
As Damian's eyes landed on the hands that were starting to shade the skin, disgust was only one of the many emotions he felt. He felt rage, deep rage.
"Damn it! Damn it!" Damian's eyes ran around trying to find anything he could use to get rid of the parasite-like monster.
Not able to spot anything other than the trees, Damian looked down at his corroding hand, then up at the trees.
Making his decision, Damian got up, running to the nearest tree. He raised his left hand to the front and...
*Bam!* Slammed it on the tree.
"Ahhh!" The pain on his hand intestified.
*Blurb! Blurb!*
The slime started shaking faster as the bubbles rising from Damian's hand increased.
Damian gritted his teeth as he saw the slime's fast moment, knowing this method was working.
*Bam!* Damian again slammed his hand on the tree.
*Boing! Boing! Boing!*
*Squeak!*
He was about to continue when his ears caught a sound similar to the one the slime made on jumping, followed by the squeak of Brave.
Turning his head, Damian looked back, and the moment he did...
*Bam! Bam!* He turned back, continuing to slam his hand on the tree.
Horde of slimes, some big, some small, were jumping in Damian's direction. How much they were? Damian had neither the time nor the calm to count, but a quick look and he was sure they were enough to swallow the whole of his and Brave's bodies.
"Ahhh! Come on!" The more he slammed, the more the slime shook, the more pain he felt, the more he screamed, and the closer the horde of slime got. In the midst of all this, Damian wasn't the only one on the edge.
*Squeeeeeak!*
Letting out a high-pitched squeak, Brave glared at the horde of slimes, then looked behind her. Seeing her master still trying to shake the hateful slime off, she made her decision. Lowering her upper body, she was about to use her skill for the first time when...
"Stop!" She heard her master's orders.
"We aren't ready yet!" Hearing the scream of her master, she was reculent. She wanted to help her master, but he ordered her to stop... What was she supposed to do? Should she obey and stand back, or disobey and charge at the enemy...? The moment the thought entered her mind, Brave stepped back, standing near Damian. Her master's orders were absolute.
*Boing! Boing! Boing! Boing*
The slime continued to advance unabated towards the duo.
"Come on!" As he glanced behind him, Damian let out another roar, slamming his hand with full force.
The world slowed down...
Standing near her master, Brave had her hairs standing on edge like needles. There was a dull golden sheen in her eyes as she looked at the jumping slime.
The slimes were getting closer to their destination, all eyes on the big enemy slamming their fellow on the tree. The farthest of the horde was metres away, while the nearest was just a step away.
Beads of sweat fell from his forehead as Damian had his mouth open to let out another roar. Though his body was shuddering in pain, his black eyes were unwavering, glaring at the slime on his hand.
The slime under the glare had no change of expression, or it couldn't show one. It had its body ready for another big shake, determined to finish its prey as soon as possible.
The thought of fleeing with the time bomb on his hand was making its way into Damian's mind, when...
The world returned to normal...
*Crack!*
A sound of something cracking resounded throughout the forest.
