Alex decided it was best to leave. He took Mi Sung back to the hotel to talk.
Alex unlocked his room, opening the door, letting Mi Sung in."Mi Sung, what are you doing here?" he asked, running a hand through his hair. Mi Sung walked to the center of the room sitting on the bed."You left right before we were supposed to get married, for work. I was going to drag you back, "she said sourly as she looked at him, a glare plastered onto her face.
Alex stood in front of her with his back against the wall. He rubbed his chin that had fresh stubble since he hadn't shaved since coming to the country. Alex exhaled, "Mi Sung. I--, " he was cut off before he could finish or even start his sentence.
Mi Sung pulled some papers out of her bag, "so… You are telling me that "Mia" isn't your dead wife?" She spoke through her teeth with a glare as she showed him pictures and documents she printed out from the cafe. "I heard Naomi speaking to-- Zac I think. She said something about Kaia, now that is a name I haven't heard in years. Now I see why Naomi sent me to the mountains." Mi Sung threw the papers at him.
Alex frowned hearing her mention, Kaia. He was doing everything in his power to stay calm at the moment. He was going to end it! He didn't love Mi Sung, and the company could figure out something else. He opened his mouth to speak but stopped seeing Mi Sung move again.
Standing up, Mi Sung walked over to him, "Let me tell you this. We will get married, NO matter what! There will be no backing out this time, BECAUSE of her. " Mi Sung smirked, crossing her arms," You will come home immediately, and we will marry. If you try to break it off! I will reveal everything about Kaia and Alexa." Her words left Alex momentarily speechless.
Alex clenched his fists looking at her."Are you threatening me? Where do you get off thinking you have contr-," he groaned as he was cut off again. Mi Sung glared at him with an evil grin." Would you like me to call the media now?" She asked her voice teasingly, letting her words drop from her tongue.
Alex's brows furrowed even more as he clutched his fists harder, "Well let me tell YOU this… They are and will always be my family. I will leave after Alexa's parent day at school."He said quickly and with a sigh. What was he supposed to do? Kaia was hidden for a reason. Maybe he could see if she would come out of hiding. He could protect them now…. He had to talk to Kaia, that was for sure.
After speaking with Mi Sung, Alex left going to Zac's room. Mi Sung slept almost all day, and Kaia took Alexa out to ride zander.

Kaia sat Alexa up in the saddle on Zanders back. Alexa was the first to speak. "I wish daddy were here mummy, "she said softly as Kaia pulled the reins, guiding the way. Kaia nodded softly, giving her a soft smile, "I know baby." Kaia sighed thinking to herself as her feet crunched through the snow. "Alexa, What's your opinion of Mi Sung?" she asked, just to get a vast scoff from the small girl she adores.
Alexa ran her fingers through Zanders mane as she rode."I don't like Auntie Mi Sung; She's mean and very bossy. She tries to act friendly in front of Papa, "She said while mocking one of Mi Sung's expressions. Kaia let out a small laugh."Alexa, your dad is marrying her, so you have to give her a chance, " Kaia said sighing. A sharp pulse in her heart made her look down.
Alexa looked down with a frown, "Did I ever tell you that she tried to hit me?" Alexa spat out making Kaia stop in her tracks. Kaia spun around to look at Alexa with all seriousness on her face," SHE WHAT!!"
Alexa flinched at Kaia's outburst before softly repeating her statement. Kaia clenched her fists and kept walking. They finished the usual ride before putting Zander back in the pasture.
Kaia didn't know what was coming over her. She had so many feelings that she felt like she was going to burst. Kaia got dressed in black slacks and a fancy blue top that had jewels that hung from the right shoulder. Alexa wore a matching blue dress, with leggings and an overcoat. Kaia looked at herself in the mirror with a sigh.
Alexa walked in and smiled."Mummy! You look pretty! What are we doing?" she asked standing next to her with a smile. Kaia smiled softly, "We are going to talk to your dad." Hearing those words, Alexa couldn't help but be excited.
Kaia grabbed her purse and got Alexa in the car, driving into town. It didn't take long before the two ended up in front of the hotel that Alex and Zac were staying. She messaged Zac for a room number, and in return, Zac sent her the number for his room.
Kaia took Alexa's hand walking inside the lobby of the hotel and up the elevator to the third floor. Before she had a chance to knock, Zac opened the door. He carried his laptop in hand as he looked at Kaia. He gave a soft smile to her."He's in there but be aware. Mi Sung is in the next room," he said before looking at Alexa."You can come with me! We are going to video chat Naomi," he gave Kaia a wink and started down the hall with Alexa.
Kaia watched them go before taking a deep breath. She looked around the hall before going into the room, locking it behind her. She walked further in only to see Alex sitting in the chair by the window, scotch in hand. Kaia blinked, tilting her head taking in all of Alex.
Alex took a swig of his scotch. He lowered his glass halfway as his eyes met with Kaia's. Kaia could see a hint of confliction in his eyes. She glided across the room sitting on his lap, gently wrapping her arms around him. Biting her lip, she could feel Alex stiffen under her grasp.
The room was quiet, so quiet you would hear a pin drop. Alex gently placed his drink on the desk to the side of the chair before letting out a small sigh. Kaia tightened her hold a bit as she snuggled her face into his hair, "please… stay. I want, no, need you… So does Alexa." These words made Alex freeze on the spot.
Alex leaned his head against her, tenderly sliding his arms around her waist. "Kaia," his voice fell gratingly on her ears, making her heartbreak. Kaia scraped her bottom lip with her teeth as she removed her arms to look at him. Alex directed his gaze to Kaia's, "Will you come out of hiding?"
Kaia's right hand reached up to gently stroke his cheek."Alex, you know I can't right now," she said in an afflicted tone. Taking the scotch back in his hand with a sigh, Alex looked away from her. Kaia frowned and grabbed the glass from him, knowing something wasn't right. "Alex?" She pressured, her hands turning his face to face her.
Alex put his hands on hers lovingly, "It's Mi Sung. She knows who you are. She threatened to reveal you if I broke off the wedding." Kaia looked at him and let out a small laugh." Alex, My love…" she kissed his forehead. "Why are you letting her threaten you? What made you turn into a softy?" She asked, hugging him again.
Deep down, Kaia was furious. This woman not only raised a hand at her daughter but now she put the love of her life into a difficult position. Kaia smirked thinking of a plan; she was going to make Mi Sung pay.
