Kria's POV.....
I'm never going to a club again. Yesterday night was flashing in my mind. Some guy forcing himself on me, Adrian fighting, then he took me out of the club, the argument and the Kiss, it was all flashing in my mind like a movie reels. Even though this is not the first time we kissed, this time it felt totally different. Day by day I'm attracted to him. I don't know what's wrong with me. I've never felt like this towards any boys and I don't know what's so different about Adrian that is pulling me towards him like a magnet. 'Because he's a man, not a boy'. Here we go again.
"Oh you shut up, I'm not in the mood to argue with you now" I thought. "With whom you can't argue with Princess?" I didn't realize I said that out loud until I heard my dad asking me. I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't hear my parents coming inside my room either. "Nothing pappa, just talking to myself" I said to him and hugged him, mom. Dad just laughed at me and my mom said "Maybe it's time for you to get married so you could argue with your husband". I don't know why but when she spoke about marriage, Adrian came into my mind. I shook that thought away.
"No way, Ahana is getting married already and I hear how Bhaskar complains all the time. Jia is going to New York for University. Now I don't want to send my princess to her husband's home so soon. She's not supposed to get married until 30.. no no 45" dad stated. "Why so? She should get married because she can't stay here forever. She should go to her husband's home one day and your baby Jia is not a baby anymore, she's a teenager. She also should get married one or the other day. I need many grand kids" my mother argued. "If she also goes to her husband's home, what should I do?" Dad whined like a baby. I sighed in annoyance. Don't get me wrong. I love my parents to death but sometimes they exaggerate things. My dad may act like a baby but he's very scary when it comes to his family.
"Well dad, then you should think about giving me a younger brother or sister so that you can play with him or her when Jia and I go to our Husbands' home" I told him and laughed. "That's not a bad idea, Jaanu. I think she's absolutely right" he said to my mom. I laughed at him and looked at my mom to see her face turning like a tomato and glaring at dad. "Ryan James Martin, is this a matter to discuss in front of our grown up baby? What's wrong with you?" she shouted.
I frowned at her. What is she implying at? 'Grown up baby? Does that even mean anything? I mean how can one be Grown up and also a baby?'
"Okay mom, dad. Today is the Mehendi function and I should get ready soon or else your dolls are going to kill me and we don't want that. Do we? Now go shoo" I sent them out of my room. When I was locking the door I heard my dad telling "We should really think about having another baby, Jaanu". "Ryan, for god's sake we are at the age to expect grandchildren and we are supposed to search a groom for Kria. Stop being a pervert and take your hands off of my Butt" Mom scolded him. I shook my head and went to the bathroom.
My mom and dad aren't really old. Mom is just 42 and dad is 47. They were just 18 and 23 when they had my brother. When her father i.e, my grandpa got to know about her relationship with my dad, he grounded her and made sure that she couldn't meet my dad and all because my mom was Hindu and dad is a Christian. My dad got pissed and kidnapped my mom, married her in court and got her pregnant so that my Grandpa will accept their relationship.
My mom gave birth to a Baby Boy named Jason Abel Martin and had me 2 years later. They went to New York to see my Gramps and Jason was just 4 years old and I was 2. He went to hospital with my parents and when my dad was helping gramps to use the washroom, Jason ran from my mom's arm, following his toy car and fell out of the window that was at the end of the corridor. My mom still couldn't forgive herself for his death. Our family became normal after Jia came in to our lives, she is a blessing to our family. My baby sister.
Coming back to the present, as my mom and dad are young, they act lovey-dovey sometimes. I act like gagging in front of them and Jia ignores them but we are really happy to see them in love because nowadays people fall out of love way too easily. I wish that I will have that kind of relationship with my future husband.
I finished showering and got ready wearing my violet coloured Kaftan top and leggings and went to see my Best Friends. Ahana was wearing a Green and gold combination sleeveless blouse and skirt, Nat was wearing Pink Gown and Aadya was pastel green Sharara Salwar. Later we all came to the backyard and the Mehendi program started.
The girl who was applying for Mehendi asked Ahana what name she should write so she replied with 'Manik' and blushed like a tomato. When she finally completed her henna, Manik's mom teased him telling him that he should find the hidden letter on their wedding night and he winked at Ahana to which she blushed more.
"Why should he find the letter in her hand?" asked the one and only Idiot, Adrian. "If I find my name on her hand before the wedding night is over, it is said that I will be the dominant one in the marriage. If I fail, then Ahana will Boss me around. It's just a belief here but I will make sure I will find my name." explained Manik smirking at Ahana.
After Ahana, all the remaining girls sat to apply Mehendi on our hands. The girl asked me for the letter (because I was not the bride so only Initial will be written as if you have a boyfriend and your parents doesn't know then it will be a problem to write a name😅), but before I could say anything, as if my mouth had its own brain, It said "A". She nodded her head and started her work. All the while the only thought I had was, 'why did I just tell 'A'?
Our dad's fed us food and we made Manik feed Ahana as our hands were designed with henna and we were waiting for it to dry so that we could get ready for Sangeet night.
Adrian's POV...
When Manik told me the reason for that ritual, I felt it's all just a blind faith but even the werewolves and mate bonding is the same for humans. We have different traditions and that's all. I sat just 10 ft from my Baby girl and watched her. When the girl asked her about the letter, Kria told "A" and I felt like I was the happiest person in the world and I'll have fun finding that letter hidden in her Mehendi tonight.
You'll be mine Sugar. I'll make sure that you'll be mine and only mine.
