Kria Martin's POV:
I woke up at the sudden jolt of my mobile phone ringing on the nightstand. My best friend, Aadya is calling me at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. I picked her call "this better be important or I'm going to skin you alive when I meet you" I said.
She totally ignored me "Get ready in an hour. Nat, Ahana and I are picking you up and you better not be late or I'm kicking your ass" and hung up before I could say a word. Humph, the nerve of her. 'This shopping trip better be worth it' I thought and left my bed to do my morning duties.
Oh sorry, where are my manners? Let me introduce myself. I'm Kria Martin. I'm 22 years old. I'm a very talkative person who couldn't stop speaking even if I'm going to die. I've completed my graduation, Bachelors of commerce in St Mary's university. My dad is Ryan Martin and my mom is Jahnavi Martin. Dad's origin is from UK. His great grandfather came to India for business and fell in love with my Indian great-great Grandmother and settled here. It happened before British Invasion so no hate about my family. My Mom is an Indian. They met in college, fell in love, got married and had 3 children. Kria and Jia (My parents were obsessed with rhyming words I guess) and our elder brother Jason. He died when he was 6 years old. I was just 2. I'll explain the story some other day.
Jia Martin is my adorable youngest sister and everybody's favourite. She is 17 going to be 18 in a few months and is in her 12th standard. Her finals are coming soon so she's not lifting her face from her books. Oh Yeah she's an Intelligent member in our family. Shy, introvert but smart and did I mention that she's cute? She's my life and I would do anything for her and I've 3 best friends.
The first one is Natasha Walton, the naughtiest and care-free member of our gang. I met her in church on a Sunday. I was sitting beside her and we started speaking and became friends. The second member of the gang is Aadya Rao, strict and responsible member. We met on our school's first day and boom. She was with her cousin Ahana Rao who's the Sweet and sensible member. They have been my best friends since then. Because of us, even our parents have become best friends.
Aadya has a younger sister named Ayra Rao who's just as beautiful and talented as Aadya. She's best friends with Jia. They're going to New York soon after their 12th, to study Architecture and Business respectively. Ahana and Aadya are from joint family and are more than happy which always makes me jealous (in a good way).
Natasha has an elder Brother Dr. Matthew Walton, annoying idiot, just like his sister but also a caring and protective brother to all of us. He's in California now. We suspect that he likes Misha but he could not tell as Misha's brother Manik is getting married to Ahana.
Ahana got engaged with her childhood sweetheart and one of our family friends, Manik Agarwal. He's also our good friend from the time he came to India to live with his grandparents in 8th grade but currently settled in London. Their marriage is in 6 weeks. We have lots of shopping to do and I hate shopping but I have to go because it's my best friend's wedding.
Coming back to the story:
After taking a quick shower, I tied a towel around my body and went inside my closet, took my shaded blue jeans and black crop top. I left my wavy black hair open and applied some moisturiser and lip gloss to look presentable. After getting ready, I rushed downstairs to see my lovely family on the breakfast table.
Mom had prepared my favourite breakfast. I finished it while speaking with my dad and on cue; my annoying best friends entered the kitchen. Mom told them to have breakfast but Aadya told her that they already had and we have to leave soon for shopping as it's already late. We bid goodbye to my parents and went to Aadya's car.
Aadya has her own boutique as she is a fashion designer. She's a famous designer in the city. Not bad for a newbie. Is she? She has specifically designed and stitched Ahana's and ours dresses for the wedding functions and the wedding and it's gorgeous. Thanking her, we went to the mall to purchase dresses for the bachelorette party, footwear, things for guests and sexy lingerie for the bride (Wink wink).
After exhausting ourselves from roaming around the mall, we went to the food court, had our dinner and went back to the car. After dropping us home, Aadya told us that we are having a sleepover tomorrow at her home.
After bidding goodbye to them, I was greeted by my Golden Retrievers, Hershey and Kisses (what? I love chocolates). I said good night to my parents and sister and went upstairs. I took a long shower and changed into my pajama and fell asleep.
