Chapter 4 - Gerontophile

"WHAT THE FUCK?!"

Troy's eyes were as wide as saucers.

Was this the power of a second year cadet?

Or was this just Eddie?

A cough brought him back to reality.

He looked down to see Paulina losing blood, fast.

"Dammit!"

He activated his ability and flew like a comet towards the nurse's office.

The first hear nurse.

The whole academy was like a giant castle, and it had six floors.

But each floor was as big as a city.

The ground floor was the reception. Tests and assessments would be carried out there. It was also where missions were issued.

The first floor was strictly for first year cadets. The second was for second year cadets, and the third floor was for the third years.

The fourth floor was for the professors, and the fifth floor was their dormitory.

Their identities were ingrained in their uniforms, so when they reached the teleportation array in the middle of the fifth floor, they would be immediately transported to their respective floors.

Before Troy entered the array, he had already issued the command:

"Nurse's office!"

A flash of light later, they were in the nurse's office.

Troy swallowed.

Doctor Iris was still one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.

She wore a set of reading glasses, and wore a white lab coat over her black gown. Her black her was tied in a tight pony tail, emphasizing her slender neck. She was black. But that only made him more attracted to her.

"I appreciate the flattery, Troy. But your friend there is more important right now." She said. Her accent was neutral. Not American, not British, but somewhere in between.

Troy snapped out of it. He ran to a bed and gently lay Paulina down.

"What happened?" Doctor Iris asked as she got to work.

With a snap of her fingers, Paulina lit up like a light bulb.

"A punctured lung. A few inches higher, and it would have been her heart."

She looked at Troy, for answers.

Troy explained everything that happened.

"Damned kids these days. To think she almost killed such a beauty."

Troy smirked. "She's not as beautiful as you, Doc."

Doctor Iris looked at him expressionlessly for a moment. Then she burst out laughing.

Troy was slightly embarrassed. Sure, he wasn't stunning, and neither did he have the ability to charm anyone he wanted, but he was still handsome. Somewhat.

"Well I'm flattered. But it's wrong. Besides being your nurse, I'm also old enough to be an aunt to you. Sorry champ." She winked at him and went back to work on Paulina.

To Troy, it wasn't that bad. The average age to become a first year cadet was eighteen. He was special because of his abilities and parents' status, so he was given the privilege at the age of seventeen. According to what he heard, Doctor Iris had become a nurse immediately after he graduation. So if she was eighteen during her first year, she'd be around twenty two by now, because he had enrolled a year after her graduation. If she was seventeen during her first year, she'd be twenty one now. It wasn't that bad was it?

Troy sat down on the bed beside them and watched her work. To any outsider, it might seem like he was worried for Paulina. But the truth was that he didn't really give a damn about Paulina. They were 'colleagues' not friends. If she hadn't risked her skin to save him, he wouldn't have gone through the stress of bringing her here. That was just who he was. He acted all nice and friendly, but deep down, he was cynical and selfish. The only two people in the world whom he cared about were dead: his parents. The Crush and Fury.

What he was studying was the doctor's hands as he spread her healing energy around Paulina's body, and the way her chest heaved. Sweat sparkled in the lit room, as they trickled down her bosom.

It was a calming sight. Arousing too.

Ever since he was young, he had discovered he had an issue. If it could be called an issue. His uncle who he had lived with almost all his life said Troy was a gerontophile, the direct opposite of a pedophile. It meant that Troy was naturally attracted to women older than him.

Before he could take in another second of the master piece before him, a circular portal appeared in front of him.

"Troy Silver. Your attention is required in the headmistress's office. Now!" A voice that seemed to come from the portal said.

Troy sighed. He knew it would come down to this.

"I'll see you around, doc. Stay beautiful!"

He entered the portal and it closed behind him.

The room before him was almost identical to the hospital, in terms of color and aesthetics. It was white, and had this weird feeling that one would get when they stepped into a hospital. But that was where the similarities ended.

Each wall was lined with shelves that were filled with books of different colors. The middle of the room hosted a giant white mahogany table. Behind the table sat a white woman with golden hair. She wore a white gown that gave her the aura of a healer. He had heard rumors about the principal of The Hero Academia, but they were all thrown out the window the moment he saw her. She looked so gentle, it was as if she couldn't harm a fly.

"Well as much as I would like to scold you, Troy. I must say, I'm impressed."

Say what?

A giant holographic screen appeared above them, and they both watched the fight scene. Especially the part where Troy used his ability.

"Your uncle had told me about the instability of your abilities, and almost killing a professor on your assessment day had me worried."

Troy scoffed.

"He said he would fail me. Why? Because I was black. I attacked him on purpose."

Dove sighed.

"You attacked him on purpose, yes. But that also almost cost the life of all the aspiring cadets around you. It was intentional, but you weren't in control."

Troy couldn't deny it. He was so mad at that moment, that all the training his uncle had imparted on him flew out the window. If not for the arrays surrounding the school, it would have probably collapsed.

"I'm sorry ma'am." Troy said, bowing his head.

"No need to be sorry, Troy. Like I said, I'm impressed. The one in trouble is your senior." She snapped her fingers.

A portal opened up. When the portal closed, it revealed Eddie Peters, holding hands with Patricia Bewaji.

Troy's eye twitched. This day couldn't get any more uncomfortable.

Troy sighed, and let it all flow past him. These two second years won't be any of his business anymore. But it was cut short as Eddie greeted.

"Hey mom!"
