Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: Execution and meeting with next target

"Is it just I, or have I become a little taller?" I asked as I looked in the mirror, thinking how the heck my height increased overnight.

I was just 160 cm tall yesterday, and now I was 167 cm. My facial cuts also became more visible as my height grew and my muscles bulged from my clothes.

I was confused. My body was still suffering from puberty, so how did I get so mature?

[Vivi: Levels also bring changes in the body. After all, you did climb five levels overnight.]

"Oh yeah! Now that I think about it, it did happen. Still, it is quite surprising how the body grows with increased levels. If I get a jackpot of EXP one day, maybe I can become an adult and then…."

I can bang some women.

What? I have no intention of living a life of a total loser. I wanted to taste the fruit too. Maybe I can find someone like Lady Alexandra with red eyes and shiny silver hair. Of course, big breasts and Mexican ass are included.

[Vivi: Villainess would be a good choice.]

"Vivi, don't even joke like that. She is the heir of Grand Duke and my employer. My relationship ends with the contract of servant master relation. She is a good kid who deserves some happiness, so I don't want to harbor unnecessary feelings."

My point was clear.

I want Anastasia to marry Prince Arthur and live the fulfilling life she always dreamed of. While it looked childish, I wanted to make that dream come true.

I didn't have any feelings for Anastasia because first, she was just a 13 years old child while I was already Shin's age, and second, she was a high-ranking noble while I didn't even have a title.

The only possible way I could marry her was her bad ending where she would be married to some countryside noble and that I won't allow it.

[Vivi: Then what about that dark hair maid.]

"Kasumi? She is my sister."

Besides, I think she is obsessed with big PPs. I don't know where she would find such a man who can also endure her creepiness.

[Vivi: If she's not blood-related, she's free to be dated.]

I ignored her.

Anyway, today was the execution of Punnia Plaus, so I was getting ready for the end. I would also be meeting Marquess Sailcoat and his daughter. They were my main target.

I picked up the jar of facial cream to apply it to my face, but it was already empty. It was a special facial cream that made my face glow. It was quite expensive and hard to buy, but it was important for my mission but…

"I think I am quite good looking at it is." I looked at the mirror again and smirked.

I was applying that cream to look older but still handsome so that I could charm any woman instantly, but as expected from one of the main characters from the otome game, my current face would still hold its league.

So I just applied a simple lotion and put black eye lances on. I was wearing a new black uniform, the main dress for standard police officers of Sailcoat State.

After inspecting my appearance one final time, I left my room, and after walking for a few steps, I saw Shin standing near the exit.

"Did the demon get you some EXP?" Shin asked as he also noticed the change.

"Seemed like it." I shrugged my shoulders.

We then walked out of the inn. As I was walking toward the main stadium where the execution would occur, I saw a group of girls talking with each other under a parasol.

"Isn't she…"

"Yeah." I also nodded and looked at Shin, "Is there anyone observing them?"

"Yeah, quite a few," Shin replied.

"Can you make an accident?" I winked at Shin, ready for some drama.

"Here you go!"

---

Perry Sion Sailcoat was the first and only daughter of Marquess Sailcoat.

She had open long brownish red hair and brown sharp eye. She had slightly tan skin with a beauty mark on her body.

Perry was 19 years old girl and had just graduated from the academy. She was rich, the marquess' only daughter, and quite beautiful, but there was one problem.

She was still single.

In this world where most women get married at the early age of 19, she didn't even have any pursuers. Her engagement was already broken four times because she had some 'special' hobbies.

Well, it's not like she was interested in them. She liked young boys like Prince Arthur. She had only seen him once, and man, she wanted to take him to bed at least once. However, that Grand Duke Bit*h had already taken him. She wanted to kill that girl, but her father's assassins had already failed in their mission.

She didn't know why Grand Duke hadn't taken any action.

"Lady Perry, you look incredibly beautiful for today's occasion. Are you also thinking about striking that young policeman?" A girl asked as Perry talked with some of her 'friends.'

Perry's smile immediately vanished as a grim looked appeared on her face. If the person talking to Perry weren't the daughter of her father's close friend, she would have already smashed her head with a giant rock.

The girl's name was Vera Salomé, the daughter of a wealthy merchant.

"Hehe, Nah, I am just interested to see the person who has solved the biggest fear that Sailcoat was facing." In the end, Perry smiled and decided to hold her anger.

It was a big event where Punnia Plaus, Perry's father's biggest headache, would be executed. The hero of the case was a young police boy who had just joined the ranks. If one wants to talk about his talent's scale, they can't match any example from the past who has cleared one case and several other cases interacted with each other.

She knew the name of that policeman, but she hadn't seen him. Some say that he was a young man of Asian descent, while some say he was just a 14 years old boy with glossy skin and dark hair and eyes. She would like to meet him if he were the latter, but she won't if he was an Asian man. She hated those people with squinted eyes.

The parasol she was standing under trembled before it broke and fell on her.

Stunned by the sight of a big parasol coming for her head, she closed her eyes and waited, but nothing happened. Instead, she felt something warmth against her body.

Opening her eyes, she saw a boy with black hair combed back and black eyes. She was stunned by the hero who had just saved her.

"I am sorry but are you all right, Miss…." The boy spoke as he looked deep into Perry's eyes.

"Perry."

"??"

"My name is Perry."

"Perry? What a beautiful name. Miss Perry, did you get hurt somewhere?"

"N-no…" Perry blushed and shook her head softly.

She didn't know why her heart was beating so fast.

The boy released Perry as she adjusted her posture and looked at the boy properly. He was wearing a new police uniform and… he was so young and handsome!

"I am Ivanna, Ivanna Celtic. I would love to talk to such a beautiful young lady, but I must apologize for my leave. Please forgive me, young lady."

"No, it's fine." Perry reluctantly shook her head. She wanted to talk more to the young hero who had just saved her from an accident and possibly invite him to her mansion but didn't want to appear rude.

And so, the boy left, but Perry's heart kept beating.

"Ivanna… wait, it's that police boy!"

---

A man with a round face, a thick dark mustache, and a broad figure with a big belly could be seen standing on a high stage.

Van Sion Sailcoat watched from the high stage when a man was brought to an open field, tied to a pole. He was Punnia Plaus, the point of entertainment for today's event.

"Van, meet this brat. He is the star of the event, Ivanna Celtic." A close friend of Van, Junao Salome, came with a young boy and chief police officer, Rugal

The boy was young with good facial cuts and would match his daughter's taste.

"Ivanna Celtic greets Lord Marquess Sailcoat!" The boy saluted, putting his hand on his chest.

Van was surprised by the young boy's salute. It was a perfect salute that would even put loyal guards of the capital to shame.

"Surprised, eh? That's why I chose this brat for the case. Can't believe that scum was involved in such inhuman dark rituals." Junao spoke.

"Haha, I am also happy that we are finally getting rid of that hero of justice scum!" Van laughed and looked at Ivanna, "Guess there is no lack of talented blood in my territory!"

"I don't deserve such humble praises. I am just glad that I was of any use." Ivanna said with his gestures down.

'Impressive…' Van already liked this boy, but a background search was needed. He didn't know if the boy was a spy or assassin sent to Van.

Then the award ceremony took place, where Van granted Ivanna 30 gold coins and an honorary badge, but something unexpected happened.

"I apologize, but I don't think I am good at continuing my duties as a police officer for a while." Ivanna refused to accept the badge.

"Might I know the reason?"

"I apologize, but I think this event has traumatized me. For starters, I need a break of two months to relax while also getting stronger a little. Since I wanted to break my level cap at the age of fifteen before I can be of any use to Milord."

"Hmmm…Well, fair enough. Then how about working directly for me?" Van asked as he wanted to observe Ivana and take advantage of his talent. His daughter would also like the young boy.

"I would be so happy to work for such a great person like Milord. I will come back after two months when I am ready. Once again, thank you, Milord." The boy vigorously bowed for few times before leaving for the stage.

Just as he left, Perry, Van's daughter, approached Van.

"Papa, where is that young police boy? I wanted to meet him!"

"You mean Ivanna? Well, he has already left the post. I think he will be going for a vacation or something since the event made him traumatized."

"Awe…"

Van chuckled and rubbed Perry's head.

"Relax, I know what you are thinking. That boy will soon be your new toy." Van said with a vicious grin.

"Yay! Papa, you are the best!"

---

I sighed, looking at the father-daughter duo and how predictable they looked. Tsar, the grand duke, was all about strength and discipline, while Van was all about money and lust. I could tell Van wanted to make me his daughter's toy without even listening.

My next mission also involved working as a spy in his territory, which was good for me. Van and his daughter had some role in the game, but it was a minor quest. I only remembered bits of the scene.

I was standing afar, watching the execution as Dire Wolves were released in the field where Punnia Plaus was tired to a pole. What came next was a grotesque display of gore where the wolves ate Punnia alive while people were cheering for the wolves.

It was not morally right, but people like Punnia deserved it.

I was in an alone place watching the execution since I wasn't a crowd person.

It was then I saw several people standing around me, looking as the execution took place. They were not only the people I killed in Afghanistan but also the people who Perry killed.

'Is this the justice that Mr. White Soldier was taking about?' The same girl appeared beside me and asked.

"Yes, it is. Look at the faces of all those people; Punnia hurt them. They are in tears, but they are happy to learn his true nature. Does anyone wants to remember a person like Punnia as a hero?"

'…We believe not. Farewell, be a good person, Mr. White Soldier.' The girl said and smiled before disappearing into thin air. The rest of the souls also smiled at me before disappearing from the surrounding.

[The dead that considers you a true hero of justice for bringing Punnia Plaus's crime to the surface. Your alignment has been changed from 'Neutral Evil' to 'True Neutral.']

It wasn't bad, but I felt good about something for the first time in my life.

Shin approached me and rubbed my head, "Why are you crying, kid?"

"Crying?" I rubbed my eyes, realizing that they were watery. I smiled and shook my head, "I am not crying. Something went in my eyes."

"Is that so…" Shin looked at the execution, then glanced at Marquess and his daughter. "Though your mission requires some R-rated features, don't develop funny ideas since I still have some girls in my mind for your marriage. One had crimson eyes like me and dark hair. I am sure you will like her."

Was he talking about Kasumi?

I gave him a weird look and ignored him.

"So wanna have some sword lessons before we depart for our next journey?" Shin asked.

My lips curved into a broad smile as I nodded at him, "Yeah, let's go."

Although I faced a gruesome act of human nature, I gained more than anything in return: the salvation I always sought, the forgiveness, and gratitude.
