"Gosh," Jared huffed.
He turned off the engine as the noise died down. He dropped his head onto the driving wheel.
A loud sigh escaped his lips. He was tired. Extremely tired.
So many events were rolling into his head and there were barely any brakes. The company, the new product, Mr Romano, Mr Watson, and Ariana.
Of course, she was the greatest of them all.
He remembered the look in her eyes before he left. So sad. And disappointed. But why?
She was the one who had pushed him away, she was the one who treated him like a traitor and ended their friendship.
How did she expect him to react when he saw her? Put a wide smile on his face and tease her just the way he used to. Was it that simple?
She had to apologise but unfortunately, he didn't want to hear any of it. It sounded like she was mocking him or even feeling pity for him.
