Chapter 36 - 0.35 Odd Companions In An Adventure

"Go! Go!!" Ariana cheered as she laughed while pulling the wheelchair down the slide and the girl on the chair flapped her arms in the air as they laughed.

Things had turned out contrary to how Jared thought they would.

The two young teens who were standing by the door in the room they had burst into earlier turned out to be their ticket to get out of the hospital.

"Wow, what a heroic move you pulled there, doc," they heard a snarky voice which made them both look up in surprise from the ground.

The girl dressed in the hospital shirt and pants walked down towards them as Ariana slowly got up from Jared as they straightened up and stood in front of the teens.

"W-What are you doing here?" Ariana asked as she smoothened her hair.

"I should ask you that, doctor/patient," the young snickered as she caught the hospital band on Ariana's wrist.

"Frigging!" Ariana hissed under her breath as she hid the bracelet behind her back.

"Were you trying to run away?" the boy who had been quiet spoke up as he stared at both of them.

"Well, she was trying to get out of here, and I was merely dragged into this," Jared pointed at Ariana who only rolled her eyes at him.

"Yes, we want to get out of her for a short while. If you wanna go tell the doctors, then go!" Ariana hissed.

"Actually, no. Why would I when you guys are perfect for us to escape?" the young girl said as she rubbed her chin.

"What?" Jared frowned.

"Well, doctors. We need your help as much as you need ours," the girl said.

And it turned out that the young girl was as crazy, if not more than Ariana as she brought up a plan to get them out of the hospital just like Ariana would.

"That's brilliant!" Ariana exclaimed as soon as she heard the idea and frankly, Jared wasn't surprised to see her eyes shining with excitement already.

The plan was that the teens were going to get wheelchairs in which the 'doctors' would wheel them out of the hospital and hopefully not raise an eyebrow or two from anyone.

The plan went well and before they knew it, Jared and Ariana were wheeling the teens out of the hospital.

When they got a fair distance away from the hospital, they got up from the chairs and they parted ways.

"It was nice working with you, lady," the girl brought her hand out for a handshake.

"Same here. Stay safe, you two," Ariana shook her before they waved them off as they went their ways.

Jared turned to Ariana with an incredulous look on his face.

"What?" Ariana rolled her eyes at him as she walked down the pavement.

"Come on, big guy, I have a meeting to attend in thirty minutes," she said as she walked towards the alley.

"Where is your car?" she hissed and Jared huffed under his breath as he walked toward her.

They got into his car as he drove her to her condominium so that she could get changed into more appropriate clothing for the meeting.

Jared tapped his feet on the tiled ground as he waited for the lady while resting his weight on his car.

Just then, it was the steady footsteps heading his way which made him look up and what he saw rendered him speechless.

She didn't dress extravagantly and perhaps, that was what caught his attention the most.

It showed she wasn't trying to impress or intimidate anyone by her fashion which screamed the humility she possessed.

Ariana had changed into a formal navy blue jumpsuit which had sleeves that stopped just right above her elbow.

The neck came down in a huge V to open her enticing cleavage just a little to give the men a tease and her tiny waist and long legs were accentuated by the sleek fit of the suit.

She matched the cloth with black high heels and a black purse as her blonde locks were left to drizzle down her shoulders freely as the wind blew her naturally curly locks behind her.

Her hazel eyes sparkled in the lit alley as she set her eyes on him and her shining plump lips eased into a warm smile.

Jared didn't realise he had been staring at her with his mouth wide open until she stopped just right in front of him with a mischievous smile on her face.

She could see that he was awed by her and that only added to her amusement.

"Sorry I took too long, Freda wasn't home so I had to choose the outfit all by myself," She muttered with the smile still on her lips.

"U-Uh..." Jared went into a blur for a moment before he snapped out of his daze.

"I-It's okay. It's fine," he mumbled under his breath as he looked away to lick his dry lips.

He had no idea where this unknown heat came from suddenly, especially with the winter beating at its best.

"Y-You look...beautiful," he added before he looked away again.

"Well, thank you, Jerry. I am honoured," she smiled and her dazzling teeth only seemed to make his heart race faster than usual.

"There's a little..." she gestured to his chin.

"W-What?" he frowned.

"Take, wipe the drool off your face, honey," She took out a handkerchief and dropped it on his hand as she stalked off to the car.

Jared remained transfixed with the soft cloth in his hand before he rolled his eyes and moved into the car.

"So, chauffeur. Take me to my office please," Ariana joked and laughed when Jared glared at her before he handed her the handkerchief.

"Yes, ma'am," he grumbled under his breath as he began the engine to roar out of the premises of Ariana Jatropesh's condominium.
