LORRAINE'S POV
The light led me from the bathroom to the hallway. I couldn't be more grateful for it. I felt like I was swimming in happiness as I came to the other side. The happiness wasn't for me, but for my people.
Yes, I was scared that they would foil our plans, but more than that, I was grateful that I would be able to do something for them.
Being here, was like uncharted territory for me. I haven't come to this part of the pack before. I needed to be careful. Strangely, there was none in the hallways, which meant I could easily do what I had to do.
My ears were pinned close to my head as I paid attention to every sound, while placing my fingers on the walls. With soft steps, I moved forward, while looking back every five minutes.
My excitement moments ago dulled to the bare minimum, giving way to trepidation. If I got caught wandering around, I couldn't imagine getting out of this without being burnt. I had to be very careful.
