Valkyrie Apocalypse - Records of Ragnarok ost
Two factions glared at one another, the first generation against the new generation. Both out for supremacy and blood. Gestroyah was worried about the kraken as it had taken an interest on the ship Jia was on. "That one is mine." Kong growled, glaring at Excelsus. "I'll handle the fish." Gestroyah said while they wanted to help Kong, they had to acknowledge that this was a grudge match between Kong and Excelsus. "Manda, take care of the hundred arms. Battra-" Ning blinks when he saw Battra was in front of the flaming bird.
"BANZAI!!" Battra yelled, slamming into the phoenix. "Die bastard, DIE!" The moth unleashed his infamous lightning attack. Something about the bird reminded him of the glowing bastard and he was going to vent out all his frustrations onto it. He may not have the bird, but since it's bright, hot and increasingly annoying, he was going to use the excuse of beating it into the ground. Did he mention the bird was bright?
Manda wasted no time and wrapped his tail on his adversary and forces the incoming fists smashed him off balance.
Kong roared as he rushes back to face their leader. Leaving only Gestroyah, who realized that the hybrid octopus had slipped into their sight. Gestroyah turned and found it chasing after the ship. All three roared and chased after the monster.
The humans screamed in terror as the kraken-like beast was getting closer, only relieved when Gestroyah tackles the monster into depths. They can only watch as the titans battled to the death and for once started rooting for the one who might end them.
Kong dodges another saw-limb from the leader and grabs a piece of metal from the wrecked ship and jabs it into the joints, earning a grunt of pain. The great ape grins and electricity spreads into the spider's nerves. However, he was lifted off the ground and thrown into a river.
Battra and the phoenix took their battles in the sky, the moth keeping his distance from the burning avian. His eyes gained a glint as he dives with bird behind him. His instincts flared as they approached the ground before spreading his wings and fires his lightning to the bird. While it avoided the attack, the phoenix failed to see the hill and ends up smashing into it. The avian roared in anger as it resumes its chase.
Manda kept dodging and weaving against the troublesome foe, using its own size against it, yet he was still struggling to find a good opportunity to attack. Taking an enormous gamble, the serpent rushed between its legs and bit what was in between.
The monster howled in agony and glared at the serpent, who spat out a piece of flesh.
Deep beneath the ocean, Gestroyah and the Kraken were tearing each other apart. The hybrid was having a hard time moving in water, as this was the first time they were in this situation. The Kraken roared, and they felt their head about to split open until Cody used their extra arms to cover its mouth and tore out its tongue.
The trio released their breath attack, sending the mythical beast onto the ocean floor. Not allowing it time to recover, they pinned it and used their extra limbs to claw out its protective shell. Their body already adapting to let them swim faster and breath underwater.
Desperate, the Kraken released a black liquid, and it forced Gestroyah to get away as the substance melted some of their scales.
HUMANS POV
Monarch's rescue team and research department had witnessed the battle and were in awe of how the monster fought. Witnessing Gestroyah doing their best to prevent the kraken from destroying the ship made them see Jia in a new light.
She was the key to Gestroyah's weakness, or perhaps a clue on how to prevent their extinction. Yet, the question remains: what did this girl do to earn the loyalty of the beast? Many remembered Nathan's report regarding the girl's ability to communicate with Kong in sign language.
However, there were some who saw the girl as a weapon. If they can figure out how she controls the beast, then they would be unstoppable. Gestroyah in their eyes was the ideal attack dog. The ultimate weapon that kept growing until nothing can harm or stop it.
Then they saw the Kraken resurface with scorched marks and nasty cuts, with Gestroyah missing some parts of their body that were growing back. The kraken roared and rushed in with its claws. Gestroyah roars back, morphing their one arm to a chainsaw and changing its other one into a drill which pierced through its defenses. Cody had deployed his plasma cutter on the drill, stopping the creature's healing factor.
If it had any, but it won't hurt to be careful.
The humans watched as Gestroyah brutally dismembered the kaiju before spreading their wings and wrapped it around the miserable. They can only imagine what it was doing, what the monster was doing as they heard screams of agony and almost of a pig being butchered alive.
Some vomited and others fainted when they saw the mangled corpse of the Kraken as Gestroyah had actually devoured all of its flesh. The monster huffed while checking if the ship had any damage before hearing eruptions. Turning to the island, they can see it about to sink. The three heads tried to come up with ideas but came up with only one solution.
The beast dives back into the depths, the chimera rushes deep below and found that whatever held the island was gone. Gestroyah rushes in fired Ghidorah's breath attack while changing the gravity to slow down its descent.
Kaiju POV
Everyone noticed it. There was a sudden change in the island. Even Excelsus had become confused on why the island was starting rise. Kong and Manda knew who was responsible, with Kong becoming more ferocious in his assault.
Each blow was becoming stronger as Excelsus noticed Kong was changing. His body was becoming bulkier each time it hurt him, and the amount of lightning he can unleash was growing as well. His armor was already showing cracks when before it barely had any scratch.
Kong felt it as well. Something was happening to him, just like when he first gained his power to command thunder and lightning. His body felt stronger, but also heavier. The armor he wore showed signs of breaking. The great ape noticed the pattern where each hit boosted his strength, but he wasn't foolish enough to rely on it. What good is it if he's too injured to use it?
Manda roared as he took his time in facing his opponent. If he could just cut off those arms, then he can focus on killing his adversary. No matter, he already administered his poison, but this was the first time that a creature resisted his venom this long. Then he saw it, the effects of his venom finally revealing itself.
The Hecatonchires glared at the vile serpent and roared as he charges towards it. However, the dread it felt was unnerving. It can feel death slowly embracing his body the closer he got. Why was he getting hotter? Why was the serpent running away like before?
Why was he facing the ground?
*Thud*
Manda stares at the fallen monster and watched how his new venom worked. The Hecatonchires spasmed and convulsed as if something electrocuted him before vomiting blood like a fountain. Soon, its body hissed and melted into a fleshy goop.
It satisfied the serpent with what he saw. The venom was something he made for Rodan, since he always burnt off his poisons. Now he was wondering if this could work on him or be another failure.
Battra roars as slams into the phoenix and claws its face. The phoenix roars as it pushes the moth before rushing head first for a tackle. Battra merely moved to the side and let slam into another hill. "I don't know if this is sad or pathetic." He muttered in pity as he avoids the avian's claws.
Honestly, did this upstart really think he can beat him with strength alone? He's Battra! He fought the golden devil once on his own, stood his ground against Godzilla and his sibling. The dumb bird didn't notice that he had drawn him into a trap.
By the time he did, Battra unleashed his powerful blow and died. The moth didn't stop and kept unleashing his electricity until there's nothing but a smoking crater.
Kong POV
The great ape panted as he glared at his opponent. The word strong barely fit the description when describing the spider. Kong's new body was taking a toll on him and he was barely keeping up with the strain. He becoming stronger, but it also made him slower, and that was the last thing he needed. He glanced at his recent wound, that was now healing fast.
Excelsus was getting frustrated each minute. Kong kept getting up even when he skewered his arm. The ape shrugged it off and tore off one of his armor and took one of his eyes with it. The humiliation he felt from that had eclipsed the emotion he experienced when he was betrayed by Dagon and Griesus.
However, he wasn't blind to Kong's diminishing speed and exhaustion. Whatever it was causing this change in him was taking a lot and Excelsus only needs to push him further before the same power that aided Kong kills him but why wait when he can kill him and the rest of these traitors in one blow?
Pinning Kong with his metallic limb, he savored the blood that dripped from his wound, the look of horror as it saw him turning this island into a wasteland.
Kong roared and tried to pry the limb off, but nothing worked until he realized the limb was metal. He flinched as he felt the bubbling heat that Excelsus was building up and knew he had only a few seconds to make his plans count.
Kong raises his hand as electricity danced around his palm. Excelsus noticed it but was too late as the largest bolt of lightning struck him. However, in Kong's desperation, he failed to consider what would happen if Excelsus lost control of the energy.
The last thing he saw was the explosion and Excelsus' scream of agony.
It blew Battra, who was in the skies straight into the ocean. Manda skidded across the surface waters before stopping while the remnants of the island buried Gestroyah alive.
Humans PoV
Jia was being held back by Spear as she watched her home reduced to a rubble. To see it destroyed broke the tribe's heart, especially when knowing that their gods died fighting for their sake.
Monarch, however, felt celebrating that at least Gestroyah was finally dead along with the terraforming kaiju. Something slightly disappointed Apex that their weapon was gone, but at least they had one problem solved.
Only for the world to reveal their problem had gone worst. As Excelsus resurfaced into the world, but heavily injured. His armor was gone, his body completely scorched with crack-like scars. Half of his face was nothing but bone and muscle.
All in all, it almost looks like a zombie. The titan was too busy cursing Griesus' descendant for the desecration of his glorious image. However, it took pleasure that the ape was dead. It wanted to summon its army to reclaim his kingdom, but his injuries made him realize he was in no condition to fight.
He'll have to heal before facing Dagon's spawn, but nothing will heal his scarred face. A permanent reminder of Griesus' descendant. The spider left, limping to safety.
The humans can only stare as the feeling of terror returned until hope resurfaced as one droid spotted Manda dragging Kong's body with Battra following them.
An: Phew, finally done with this chapter and sorry if it took too long. My computer got a virus and no matter what I did, it kept coming back. So I had to reboot the entire system, and I lost all of my files, so I had to start from scratch.
