Once we had made our way inside the Inn what greeted our eyes was a beautiful room decorated with various furnishings. From what I could see there were only a few people seated inside. As soon as we entered, we promptly made our way towards the receptionist. Behind the wooden counter stood a gorgeous woman who seems to be in her mid to late twenties. She had long waist length blue hair and a well-formed face small, chiseled nose and round shaped eyebrow. Her skin was milky white, and her body was well proportionate.
"Um... Good afternoon could you tell me how much it cost for lounging here?"
I asked with a sociable smile. Hearing my question, the woman bowed before answering.
"To stay here for one night, it would cost you three silver coins."
She explained.
"I see... well I want to stay longer than one nights so, how about I pay one gold coins."
I said before taking out a small bag I got from the royal family of Watanabe as traveling expense. The sack was still filled with coins. For the record copper is the lowest coin in this world. While silver coin is worth 10 copper, one gold coin is worth 20 copper. While platinum coin is worth 50 copper. The woman widens her eyes at the amount I am willing to pay.
"Will one big room be, okay?"
she asked while inconspicuously glancing at Alya and Nikita who were standing a short distance behind me. Hearing her sudden question, I was momentary frozen on the spot I could easily guess what she was thinking on the inside as my brow twitch and my smile cramp.
Alya seems to be on board with the suggestion while Nikita seems rather uncomfortable.
"No two rooms would do."
I answered. I really don't want any more surprises when I get up in the morning. The receptionist seemed a little surprised by my answer, I could only shrug my shoulders in response as for Alya she pouted her lips in displeasure.
"Shall I show you to your rooms right now?"
She inquired.
"No, I actually wanted to ask you something."
"Yes, what is it?"
she asked, tilting her head.
"You see were new to this city, so I was wondering if there is any guidebook for tourists?"
I asked hopefully. Hearing my question, the woman's face instantly brightened as she went behind the wooden counter and took out a flat book.
"Here you go young man everything you need to know is written in here."
She explained.
"I see thank you."
I said as I excepted the book. With this it should be easy to move around, we promptly left that place and went back into the streets. Stores and stalls were set up and the streets were still bustling with people from all over. Nikita's nose twitched repeatedly.
"The air is salty."
She said while gazing at the guidebook.
"Yeah, the Albanian Kingdom is surrounded by the ocean. That's why fishes are abundant here."
I replied. It's not a surprise that the Albanian Kingdom greatly cultivate sea food when compared with the others surrounding kingdom.
"Oh, can we stop get some lunch?"
Alya asked, her mouth perked up in interest.
"Yeah, sounds good but let's do that later for now we should sign up at the adventure guild."
I said with a grin. Hearing my suggestion Alya tilted her head.
"Adventurer guild, why?"
"I just figured things would be more interesting and, having the backing of the guild would help us out. Though, we are not going to focus of only adventures."
I explained. Alya seems somewhat skeptical while Nikita doesn't seem to be against it. With the help of the guidebook, we easily made our way to the adventurer guild in less than 10 minutes. Before our eyes stood a big building with a sign that stated 'adventurer guild' I opened the door, and we made our way inside.
As soon as we made our way inside all eyes fell in our direction. My body shuttered beneath the many stares. However, I choose to ignore them. Most of them were staring at Alya who had a prideful smile on her face. As for Nikita she calmly ignores the many stares as though they were the most trivial things. Those two exude a presence that cannot be ignored.
"Hehe... it seems there's some newbies here."
"As their seniors I guess I should teach them the ropes."
"I don't care about the kid could you save one of those girls for me?"
Such voices can be heard here and there. As for the woman in question.
"Haruto, can I kill these lowlifes?"
"Master please give me permission to end their despicable lives."
Both Alya and Nikita both had disgusted expressions on their faces while glancing in the direction of where the voices were coming from. I placed my hand gently on their shoulders to calm them down. It would be bad to make a scene here. However, as though he couldn't read the room a bald muscular man with a particular longsword hanging on his back could be seen making his way in our direction.
(I don't like this; he isn't here to give us a warm welcome)
"Hey brat get out of here and leave the girls."
The bald head man ordered. Silence suddenly enveloped the room. My brow twitched repeatedly from his words. Suddenly I had the urge to beat the man in front of me to death but, I ignored him and continued making my way to the receptionist. Alya and Nikita followed along.
"Hey!! didn't you hear what I just said?!"
The bald head man shouted before folding his hand into a fist and brought it down towards my head. Sensing the danger, I promptly turned my body and caught his fist before forcefully pulling him towards the ground in a one arm shoulder throw.
Boom!!!
"Ugrh!"
His eyes widened as he fell heavily to the ground cracks appeared at the point when he fell. Silence once again dominated the room. Everyone looked dumbfoundedly at the unconscious man whose body kept convulsing lying on the ground.
"He must have been really weak to fall unconscious so easily."
Nikita commented.
"Thats just how some of these people are. They really should be careful who they make their enemies, don't judge your opponents based on appearances."
Alya said while staring coldly at the unconscious man. Now that I injured one of their men, I'm probably going to get their animosity now. I heaved a sigh before walking towards the guild receptionist.
A woman who seems to be in her early twenties stood at the counter. She wore small eyeglasses and had short brown hair; her snow-white skin had a tinged of pink to them.
"Excuse me would it be okay to sign up as an adventurer?"
I asked while doing a light bow. The lady smiled before answering.
"Yes, would you please come this way."
she said gesturing towards a small orb that was placed on the table.
(This... isn't that the orb used to measure magic power?)
I narrowed my eyes at the orb, it was the same one used to measure the magical power of everyone in the academy. The last time I checked my magic power was 100,000. Honestly, I'm really scared when her reaction is going to be when she sees my mana capacity. I fearfully touched the orb, the orb glowed faintly before the numbers were shown.
"Eh? 500,000!?"
She exclaimed.
(Mm... 500,000 since when did my mana increase?)
A confused expression filled my face.
"Sigh, why do you look so confused Haruto? Do you remember the day we formed a contract; I said I would stop suppressing your powers now. That is your real mana compacity."
She explained.
Now that you mention it, I do remember hearing her say something like that. Back then too many things were happening at once, so it slipped my mind.
"Mana compacity of 500,000 I knew he wasn't ordinary."
Nikita mumbled. When I turned my gaze around, I saw many shocked faces of the other adventurers present. I massaged my temple as though enduring a headache. Next it was Alya turns I was curious about much mana she had stored inside her.
She gently placed her hand on the stone. The resulted was-
"90,000."
That's also a high number. But when you think of it, she gets all her mana directedly from me so technically this isn't her real number. Nikita went after Alya and placed her hand on the orb, the orb glowed before showing the results.
"Hm, 200,000. Is that the normal amount for all silver wolves?"
"I'm not sure since I've never measured them all before, who's maybe their some who were born with less."
"Okay I have all the results your membership card should be ready by tomorrow so could you please come back here tomorrow?"
Despite her bewilderment she spoke in an eloquent tone.
"Yes, thank you."
I said before we made our way outside the guild.
