Many of my features had been replaced with the features of someone else. Someone I've never met or even heard of.
My almond-set eyes had taken the place of my deep-set eyes. My dark brown eyes were swapped over for light brown. Among all of my attributes, my eyes are my fave! My teeny-tiny face had shrunk even more. My heart-shaped lips and sharp nose remained the same. I'm not sure, but it didn't seem to change much for me following the procedure.
It's so weird, but I can still see myself in this face. I shouldn't feel this way, right?
The door opened and Daddy was taken out of there. After the operation, I thought he'd grin ear to ear, but he just looked at me, emotionless. I didn't see the slightest reaction.
He handed me a brown envelope, the one he gave me that I hadn't received the other night.
"It's all about Soleil Camero's information. Even the tiniest specifics about her should be read. " He gave me a ziplock bag with some personal items inside. These are the things I got from her. You should bring them back to the Philippines. "
I nodded. Before he exited my room, I called him. "D-Dad, can you still see me?"
He confronted me, bothered by my question. "What do you mean?"
"Can you still see the Andra in me?"
"Not at all. I don't see Andra on you. " Then he left.
My shoulder dropped, and I looked at myself in the mirror again. Am I hallucinating? Maybe I just said that to myself because I still can't let go of Andra.
Damn me, this shouldn't be how I feel! Damn! Damn!
I read Soleil Camero's details to take my mind off things. I found out many things about her.
Her real name is Soleil Aumery Camero. She's turning 28 on November 25. His father is Remus Camero, CEO, and founder of the Camero Group of Companies, and Soleil is the only daughter. Her mother left them.
When I saw some fascinating things about her, the sides of my lips grew. Mondejar International School's Dean is Soleil Camero.
I whispered in absence, "I never imagined planning vengeance could be so easy when you have all the connections."
Dear Selena, I'm not sure why, but I appreciate everything you've done.
I flew back to the Philippines after three days. Soleil Camero is simple to understand, yet her existence is monotonous. She had never had a boyfriend since she was born. I believe I have a solid idea of what type of lady she is.
She's a soft, pure, gentle, and simple woman. Well, hindi naman kami nagkakalayo. I'm a soft, gentle, and sophisticated woman until Mom dropped a bomb on me.
According to Daddy, this is the day that Soleil will arrive in Canada. We parted ways when we were at the airport. Ang dami pa niyang binilin, but nothing on them is about me. All of them are about Soleil, and I'm supposed to be gentle, kind, and happy in front of everyone who knows her. But I guess I'm breaking the rules already.
I wore my Chanel sunglasses when I arrived at the airport. Daddy advised me to dress simply, I change my clothes when we parted ways. I absolutely cannot bear wearing plain pants and a plain shirt.
I'm currently wearing an off-shoulder crop-top with ruffled edges and black slacks, which I'm wearing with a red beret.
I don't know, but my mood suddenly changed when I saw myself in the window glass of the car that passed in front of me. I collected myself and plastered a forced grin on my lips.
I was slightly taken aback when its window suddenly opened. It showed a man who looked irritated based on his face.
I rolled my eyes at him and walked a little way to get a taxi. I was about to hop in the taxi when a strong arm snatched my luggage.
"Please excuse me. What are you doing?" I asked irritably and took back my suitcase, but he wouldn't let me.
He didn't answer me, instead, he closed the taxi door and dragged my suitcase to the car I had mirrored earlier.
What's wrong with this man?
"Hey!"
He stopped when I shouted. For a moment, everyone caught my attention.
He slightly massaged the bridge of his nose. "Soleil, please don't put me on the spot."
My eyes widened a bit, but I immediately discarded them. Is she Soleil's friend? Why didn't I ever think of that? Damn, I'm such a fool!
I chuckled a bit. "Sorry."
He just frowned. "Hop in."
I stepped in right away and commanded myself there. My senses were barely constricted. He entered and began operating the car after a few moments.
I couldn't take my gaze away from him. I saw his jaw was tight, and it flexed his finely sculpted jaw. Her hair is styled in "curtains." He was born with a snub nose. Is it soft? His lips are a little reddish.
What is his relationship with Soleil?
Maybe a lover?
My gaze shifted to his arms holding the steering wheel. His biceps and muscles looked so tight beneath the white material of his shirt. His white button-down shirt was folded up to his elbows.
"Stop eye-raping me," he said, and barely glanced at me.
I immediately looked away.
"What took you so long?" I pretended to be irritated by the question.
"You should ask that yourself. I've called you before, but you're not looking back," he replied and narrowed his eyes at me in the review mirror.
I just stared at him and focused on what we were going through.
I was completely unaware that I had slept off for the duration of the ride. I'd only just gotten out of sleep when I heard him on the phone, talking to someone. Because of the curve of his heavy eyebrow, he was upset at this point. He said goodbye to whoever was phoning as soon as he saw I was awake.
"Let's eat lunch," he said and stopped at a fancy restaurant.
I simply nodded and walked away from him first. I stopped when I saw myself in the glass mirror. My grip tightened on my saddle. My jaw clenched, but that immediately disappeared when someone grabbed my elbow to guide me into the restaurant.
I removed my elbow from him and walked ahead. I don't feel comfortable when a guy touches me, even just small parts of my body. Only with Vince do I feel comfortable.
When we entered, the female manager immediately greeted us and accompanied us to the room she had booked. We were on our way to the room when I saw Vince in his corporate attire.
What is he doing here?
I smiled sweetly, I was about to go near him when someone cleared his throat.
I'm not Andra anymore...
And that made me realize it. This isn't my life anymore, Andra's friend is not Soleil's friend and even more so Andra's family is not Soleil's family.
That's the thought that always keeps nagging on my mind, even when we have food in front of us. I've been hungry lately and now I'm not.
"What are you doing?" the person in front of me asked with a baritone voice.
"I don't like the food." I lied.
He glared at the food before looking back at me. "That's your favorite food."
I immediately faked a cough. "Anymore..." and smiled like I didn't care about his reaction.
"Have a try, Soleil. You look so skinny now," he said in an authoritative voice.
I took a peek at the food. This food was not my usual fare until I met Vince, who converted me to Korean cuisine.
"I don't want to eat," I said as I leaned against the seat, avoiding his piercing looks. My arms were folded over my chest.
He averted his gaze. "All you have to do is eat the meal."
Who is he to tell me that I have to eat this?
"How I wish Vince was here," I said before eating the dish.
I heard him chuckle, almost as if he was claiming victory, but it didn't last long.
"By the way, who is Vince?"
I drank some juice. It's the ideal opportunity to find out where he stands in Soleil's life.
"Are you jealous?" I questioned, a devilish grin on my face.
He ignored me before concentrating only on the meal. There, I was even more upset. He can't possibly ignore me. I'm praying he's not a significant person in Soleil's life!
I hadn't had much to eat there, and he hadn't even asked whether I wanted to finish it. Because if he did, we'd have a true fight.
He's a tyrant. It irritates me.
After we finish eating, I go looking for Vince, but he is nowhere to be found.
*****
A few minutes passed before we entered a village. So, Soleil is from Laguna? I couldn't help but be amazed at seeing the houses and mansions inside the village. I couldn't help but look with awe at the modern mansion that was proudly standing in front of me.
Camero is Reyes' nightmare.
We stopped in front of the grand gate after we opened the guard gate. Maids were waiting for us and an elderly man in a wheelchair.
The man came out first before he opened the door for me. Trees and flowers are everywhere in this house. I immediately remembered our old house. It's not so big, but it has the same ambiance.
"Bring me closer to my granddaughter! I want to give her a big hug!"
I approached her carefully and hugged her. She might be Soleil's grandma. I stepped slightly away from them after letting go of the hug. They could also want to say hello to the man.
But the elderly woman merely stared at him, smacking his hand, which was about to be made into a fist. As he turned to face me, I raised an eyebrow at him.
"I need to sleep," I said before I turned my back away.
I gave my clutch to a maid and ordered her to follow me, even though my only intention was for her to accompany me to Soleil's room.
When I saw the inside of the house, I couldn't help but be impressed once more. The furniture and external design are luxurious, to say the least! But it was their enormous staircase that drew my eye!
Soleil and her father are shown in a huge picture. While he was behind it, his father sat on a couch. Soleil's grin is enormous. It's a shame I didn't catch a glimpse of the smile in person.
I looked around Soleil's entire room. Her room has a bohemian theme, and I found it kind of... lame. If I have time, I'll change this theme to minimalistic.
I immediately proceed to the walk-in closet, where I expect to see dresses, pants, and blouses. She doesn't have a fashion sense.
I couldn't help but be perplexed when I noticed books instead of make-up. I'm sorry, Soleil, but I couldn't handle being in this environment.
I went to CR because staring at her books was making my head hurt. I didn't see a single make-up item. Only lip balm and powder!
I soaked in the bathtub right away, then filled it with water. It's soothing.
I'll be looking for Vince first thing tomorrow morning so we can carry out my plan together. Right now, Vince is the only person I can trust.
When a loud knock disrupted my relaxing moment, my eyes were about to close.
I tsked while dressed in a black robe from Soleil's walk-in wardrobe. I sped up my movement because the knocking didn't cease. It's quite inconvenient!
When I opened the door, the side of his lips rose, mine too!
"What do you need?" I asked with my arms crossed.
He entered and immediately closed the door. I backed away as he took a step. His movements indicate a threat, but I maintain my tough demeanor.
"W-What do you need?" I asked again, but with some stuttering.
His brows are about to meet, and he still manages to ask me calmly.
"What did you say to Manang?"
"What are you talking about? Nothing, I said nothing!" My grip tightened on the strap of my robe.
I was almost caught there!
"You're lying! Soleil, the day before your flight, you confessed to me, and I rejected you in the most pleasant way I could. I thought it was clear to you? And now you're spewing shite on me, Manang."
I can't help but open my mouth. This man is so rude! Rejected pleasantly?! What a jerk!
Pleasant or unpleasant, it doesn't change the fact that you rejected me! Get out! "
His brow wrinkled in concentration. I was taken aback by his reaction. I was ready to haul him out when the door suddenly opened. But I came to a halt when I saw a familiar face.
This individual... He is the father of Soleil! He was the one shown in the picture on the grand staircase.
The man behind me said, "Uncle..."
"I'm shocked you and Primo argued as well," he continued, clearly dissatisfied with what he had heard.
Primo? That name…
"Primo Ace Mondejar, also known as Primo, is the only heir of the Mondejar International School."
That's what came out when I did some research about the school that I resented the most.
This man is Soleil's fiancé?!
"Uncle, it's not what you think."
I approached Soleil's father and hooked my arms around his forearm, looking like a child.
"Daddy, it's just— I mean, a lovers' quarrel... you know?" I deliberately softened my voice. Primo frowned at what I did.
Soleil's father let out a loud breath before he nodded and smiled at us. He patted my head before turning his back on us, leaving no words. I'm disappointed.
I locked my gaze on Primo, but it didn't last long before I realized his purpose in my scheme. My lips formed a seductive grin. As I unfastened the laces on my garments, I carefully moved closer to him.
He averted his eyes when he saw that we were only a few feet away. I can see how his almost perfect jaw clenched. I prefer to tease him.
"Let's restart everything on us."
When his frigid lips slammed into mine, I froze. His tongue is attempting to go into my mouth. What the hell, my knees were turning to jelly. I used all of my effort to shove him away from me before he could enter my lips.
I was holding on to the bedpost while catching my breath. My teeth gritted when I saw him smirking. He put his two hands in each pocket before leaning into my ear so that I could hear his whisper.
In a gravelly tone, he warned, "You don't like it when I go rough on you." Then he turned his back on me.
After five years, this guy finally affected my inner system again.
