Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: presentation(part 2)

I walked out the door but I didn't think he would comply and follow me.... standing in the corner I saw him walking out of the class and coming towards me, I was a bit surprised that he came, "I better not jinx it" I thought as I gathered up words to say, " you're late"
"huh?"
"don't huh me"
" look JIA, kia, or whatever your name is you better cut to the chase or am leaving" I decided to start talking before he gets angry, " ok fine, it's about our project, it's 9:50 and once it's 10:00am we'll be presenting the project, so I wanted to know if you've practiced what you're gonna say"
" what do you mean, I thought you were the one that's doing the talking" he said nonchalantly, " what in the world, how did you expect me to say everything, oh god"
" what? aren't you the smart one, so I left it for you"
" that's a lame excuse, you've got to come up with something"
" like what"
" I don't know anything, but do it fast"
" wait - "
" there's no time to wait think am leaving " I left and went back to prepare for the presentation.... it was finally 10am and everyone was heading back to the lab, we got there and took our seats, I was sitting with bianca then looking around but couldn't find him anywhere, " where is he"I thought, the teacher then came in and started with some words of advice before she begun, " ok then it's time to showcase what you have worked on" she would call out names and then the paired would come out and present, she was calling one by one and it was almost our turn, " miss Bree can I excuse myself"
" but there isn't anymore time left"
" I know but I'll be quick, I promise"
" fine hurry" I stood up immediately and went outside, I ran to his class but he wasn't there, I searched every single class but I still couldn't find him, I decided to head back to the lab and face my fate.... reaching the lab, I stood outside took a deep breath and went for the door, but I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder, I turned around and saw it was Sam, "sam, what are you doing here?"
" don't worry about me, you look worried, what's wrong?"
" well the universe has blessed me with a rude!, careless!, heartless!,and a Butt-Headed human being!"
"whoa calm down, what happened?"
" well am meant to present my project with a partner but he disappeared, I've searched every where but I couldn't find him"
" well then I think a replacement would do"
" yeah, great idea but where am I gonna find a replacement"
" well your in luck, am here to help"
"thanks but you know it's science stuff right"
" I know, but I like robots"
" liking them won't help in this matter, do you even know anything about robots"
"of course I do, come on let's go in" he said and grabbed my hand taking me inside, " mia you're back, it's your turn, where have you been"
"umm well something came up and that made me take a new partner"
" new partner?"
"well Alexander suddenly came down with the flu"
" oh my I hope he's fine"
" of course he is, I took him to the nurses office and took a new partner "
" well since your partner is not available you can present with him"
" oh thank you so much miss Bree" I said and we stood in front of the class and presented our project, explaining with examples and making the robot obey some commands..... when we were done we got an A and I couldn't stop thanking Sam, we were finally done with today's presentation and everyone was exiting the lab, I dragged Sam to the corner to properly thank him, " Sam you're the best, thank you so much, I owe you one"
"oh it's nothing, but yeah you owe me one definitely" he said and smiled.....few hours later we dismissed and we all went to our various homes
