Reese reached out to hold Ares's hand, and a finger twitched as if responding to heat. He smiled at June as he rubbed Ares's hand with his thumb. "He's responding to some touches this morning. The doctors have said it is a good sign, but we know the truth. Ares is not supposed to be responding to anything, but… he just did. Did you do something, June?"
The actor ended up sitting down on the visitor's stool and kept his hand on Ares's head. "I…"
At this, Phillip pursed his lips and glanced at Freya, who returned his gaze with a look of uncertainty. The student exorcist then told Reese about what happened to June in the last two days and how they decided to resolve it. It didn't come as a surprise that Reese reacted with fear and confusion. After all, it was a bold move, especially for an exorcist.
