Unlike what June expected, though, the imps weren't really guarding the door. It was as if they had no idea which ones were the bad people that should be kept away from their human master. After all, June kept on getting closer to those people that would come. The most June could ask of them was that they got ready in case someone tried to hurt him.
That was why June was on a staredown with Reed again. Just like what June did, the man kept on visiting the patient as if his very presence would hinder June's health from recovering. Then again, the man was not just standing there. Reed would even dare occupy the couch and stay there to read some kind of document to pass the time. June didn't even know how far that man was willing to go.
