The last memory June had of this man back in high school was rather pleasant. If there was something that he missed in high school, it was coming to Brent's house and playing video games in the Skylar's family lounge. It was such a wide space, and June remembered how this Mr. Skylar would come home at night and bring food for Brent's friends.
However, things seemed to have taken a turn when Brent's mother died after those years. June didn't know much about it, but Brent mentioned how it slowly changed his father. To the point that he became an alcoholic and turned to gambling.
It's just that… to June, this father had been taken advantage of. The demon that possessed him at that time was strong enough to derail people and completely take over their bodies, only making use of the father's memory to recognize the victim's family. Perhaps seeing June had triggered the father's consciousness since it was that handsome kid that hung out with his son.
