The night breeze blew harder tonight overhead, and the loose hair on their heads freely danced to it. A leaf from behind them flew past a person's head, but it was mercilessly zapped by the fence. It seemed that they cared too little if they caught intruders or stray animals with it.
June then stared at the wood processing factory in front of him. It was the place where the van was headed. For some reason, June already knew what happened here—deep inside the woodworking studio no one dared to go inside. If it was him, he would hide people here, too.
He looked up at the moonless sky, seemingly reflecting the godless time that he was going through. Kale and Soren were more likely to be hidden here, but he had no idea why they were held for so long. The human master challenged Gabrielle Mente with something to mark his name for an eternity; June was so sure it involved two of his acquaintances.
