I decided after reaching Apprentice rank in all my martial arts to reward myself by going to the wilds again to search for beasts with new talents
I felt like trying out my new skills and actually getting some combat practice, this time I decided to go east towards Black Marsh where there were many poisonous creatures
Now that I was an Apprentice healer I didn't have to fear poisons as long as they were not much stronger than me
When I left the sect everyone cried, especially the inner disciples (tears of joy) when they heard the news, as heart breaking as it was to leave my juniors behind I must carry on
If I stayed any longer my abilities may be discovered and that would be dangerous, soon after I left the inner disciples also disappeared from the sect
The only ones that remained were the new recruits from this year while the rest left the sect and no one heard from them again
When I was far enough away from anyone seeing me I took out my flying contraption from my Storage ring that I had made recently
The Storage Ring was a new prototype that I made with the help of Xin arts and had a storage enough to fit a small hut inside
It was still too small for me to live inside comfortably so I only stored the necessities such as a bed roll, clothes, food, utensils, tools and my other Artifacts and money
I could fly even without my contraption because I was an Apprentice rank Xin and combined with my weightless talent I could easily fly up off the ground, but since the distance was so far away I would run out of energy before I got there
Instead I used both the contraption and Xin arts to get to my destination faster, the distance from Fenglo to Black Marsh would take a month by wagon
At the speed I was flying I could get there within a week if I took it leisurely and hunted beasts I saw along the way
The freedom of flying was truly exhilarating, my adrenaline pumped with every flap of my wings as I ran for my life while being chased by a Darkholme Wivern, this beast was at the level of an Adept Jin artists and I didn't dare to fight it
*Roar*
That beast snapped it's beak at my legs, I barely avoided it and pushed off his face to fly even faster
The talent I had gotten from touching it when it first attacked me was slowly starting to kick in and my flying speed increased every minute
The talent I got from it was Aerodynamics lvl 5 which helped me move much faster when moving through the air or water as I felt less friction
After some time the Darkholme Wivern began to slow down as it flet no point in chasing a hard prey, especially since I was so small and would hardly fill it's stomach
I had been wounded on the shoulder by one of it's claws when it ambushed me, luckily after about an hour of flying the deep gash in my shoulder had mostly healed and after a day I should be good as new
