Coda and I kept running for hours till we got to a beautiful river that looked as if it was shimmering in the sunlight as if it was full of diamonds. Coda and I walked to it and took a few drinks. I smirk and jump in causing a huge splash that covers Coda. He growls and he pins his ears, so I smirk and jump on his back causing him to fall into the water. He jumps out and runs after me, as we are running I trip on a log causing me to roll. He laughs and strolls up next to me after I stop rolling.
I growl at him and he shrugs," Not my fault you can't walk." He says through a mind link and I grumble getting up. I pounce at him but at the last minute he moves and I faceplant into the ground. We wrestle for a few minutes, then we hear a gunshot. We both stop immediately and get low to the ground pinning our ears. I look over to Coda and he tilts his head towards the house then slowly starts beating his tail on the ground counting. One...two...three. We both dart toward the house without looking back. We get almost halfway to the house when we hear another shot, then Coda tumbles down whimpering. The next thing I know all I see is black and lay still on the ground with a sharp pain in the back of my leg.
I wake up in a dark room and I can't move. I feel chains going around my whole body keeping me pinned to a table not allowing any movement. I howl weakly feeling as if I was having a really bad hangover. I try to move again but I can barely even get my paws under me, so I howl again a little louder trying to call Coda. I hear a faint howl from a far distance, I instantly realize it is Coda so I start freaking out wanting to make sure he is okay. " you're finally awake." I jump as much as these irritating chains allow me to and growl loudly." Easy little female. I won't hurt you... at least not yet. I want answers so I need your beautiful wolf to go away and you to be able to talk." He glared at me slightly but he also pets down my back causing me to pin my ears and try to move away from him. He grabs my fur hard and I yip loud and he starts to pull more and more until he pulls me by my fur towards him. " I said change back or I shave this beautiful fur of yours" He leans down next to my ear and whispered," Serafina go away."
I pin my ears and my wolf retracts leaving me naked and cold on this table, but now the chains are loose enough to get out of so I quickly run out of them and curl into a ball in the corner hiding my body. " Must have been your first shift since you still care about people seeing you... oh well." He throws clothes at me and turns around so I can get dressed. I quickly throw on the shirt that is huge first so I am covered before I put the pants on. I am terrified but at least I am dressed now. He turns around and walks to the door opening it, so I slowly slink out with the man behind me who gets joined by one more. They start talking to each other and I catch that the man who was with me originally was called Sam and the man who joined us was called Jake.
I looked around and was debating whether to run or not to bother. I am smaller and quicker but they are bigger and probably trained for this kinda thing which is why they look so relaxed. I decided I will not try to run and see what is going on. I feel a hand placed in between my shoulder blades and I jump and scream. Serafina surfaces slightly and lets the claws grow out and my eyes turn blood red and turn around growling baring my fangs. Sam was the one who touched me because he pulled his hand back and put it on the knife attached to his hip. I look at the knife then back up at his face and lowly growl again in warning, then Serafina relaxes slightly bringing the claws back in and my eyes still have a faded red look but my fangs stay out just encase.
He huffed and shook his head and lifted his chin in the direction he wanted me to walk, so I started walking in the direction he nodded to he told me to turn left and there were huge double-sided oak wood doors with huge gold handles. I stopped dead in my tracks in terror. These are the same doors from my dreams in the beginning, and the guards behind me run behind my back and look down at me like I have just lost my mind.
They look from the door back to me glaring," What is the issue now?" I just shake my head with my whole body shaking."I...I can't go in there." I say stuttering and Sam looks at me and grunts at me," You will. that is where you are supposed to go by any means necessary. " My eyes start to shift red and I growl loud and Sam and Jake raise their handguns from their back holsters and point them at me quick with fear in their eyes.
I pin my ears and let my fangs out," You will not lock me in a room and chain me to the metal chair in there again!" They look at me and lower the guns slightly," What are you talking about little one?" Jake said to me lowering his gun completely. My ears pick up and I see that he is honestly confused as to what I was talking about. my eyes slowly start to fade to a dark pink color and Jake gasps and got down on his knees and Sam quickly moves away from him moving the gun between me and Jake. "What the hell are you doing?!" Sam said and kept moving the gun between the two of us with me extremely confused. " You traitor! You were a wolf this whole time!" The next thing I know he looks at me and his eyes glow green with a look of apology in his eyes and I gasped having the feeling I should have known who he was.
