Mirabel's POV
I held the handle of the door to push it, but it opened before I could push and I stumbled into a figure or more of a man. He's so hot, his blue polo held tightly to his body highlighting his perfectly shaped chest, his black trousers hugged him in a way it displayed his slender masculine legs and his sneakers were a 'wow'. After staring for what seemed like seconds, he finally cleared his throat.
"Ermmh, may I help you?" He said, jolting me away from my dreamy moment.
"Umm, Hi, uh, Good morning sir" I said
"Morning, and you are?" He asked looking staring at me
"Oh, I'm Mirabel..... Mirabel Harrington" I answered
"Hi, Mirabel I'm Steven Josh, how may I help you?" he asked,
"I uh, I came to work this morning but I can't find anyone, so I thought to check here" I said, I can't believe and stuttering.
"I see, well seems you're a new employee right?" he asked, moving towards his desk
"Yea, that's right" following behind him.
"My bad, please have a seat" he extended his hands for me to take a seat.
"Thank you sir" I replied, taking a seat. It was a bit cold and the leather was so soft that I started fiddling with it using my fingers as I sat.
"So Mirabel, the thing is, today is a public holiday and usually the staffs don't come to work except the security on duty" He said while swirling on his chair and staring at me. There was something about his eyes that I don't seem to get and I must say he's so handsome.
"Oh, I totally had no clue today was a public holiday" I said feeling awkward, trying to avoid his gaze.
"Its ok, I take it that you weren't informed, its alright" He said. 'But if today is a public holiday, then why is he here?' I asked myself. Taking courage I decided to ask
"Sir, If today is a public holiday shouldn't you be at home relaxing?" I quickly glanced at him to see his reaction.
He shrugged and said "Well, true I should be resting but here I am working my ass off, I've been away form the country for sometime now and only just got back , so I have tons of work to attend to, that's why I'm here". He smiled looking formally at me to which I smiled back and looked away.
Then I said "You're really hard working sir, I admire that" I gave a thumbs up to him and he smiled and I smiled back as well.
"Its a pleasure meeting you Mirabel"
"The pleasure is all mine" I replied smiling at him, and our eyes made contact, and it suddenly felt like time has stopped and the only thing I could see are those beautiful blue eyes staring at me as if it was undressing me and tearing into my soul, and all I could hear is my heart beating as if it was gonna pop out of my chest anytime soon.
