Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 The Changes

Once the dinner was concluded, Caleb and his brothers walked back to their chambers not really planning to mingle with the others. It was a full moon and the effects had already started getting at them.

Back in their homelands, they were free to behave anyway that pleased them but their conduct had to change once they were not home.

"Sigh....now what do we do?" Morrison grumbled as he got out of his attire. It was heavy and uncomfortable.

"We go for a run!" Jack stated mischievously as it had always been him to initiate the madness.

"I'm sleepy. I'll pass for the night. Brandon spoke getting up but was halted midair. "What?" He asked when he saw the strange looks of his brothers. "Don't think of pulling my leg now!" He warned as his gaze snapped among his brothers to see who was going to attack him first.

His brothers were looking at a streak of deep brown hair that was morphing in his jet black hair. Jack had to rub his eyes to ensure he wasn't hallucinating.

The prophecy!!!! They all gasped. It was real!!!

Caleb stood up and walked closer to his brother and observed the streak. Not that he couldn't see it from where he was..he just couldn't believe the luck of his brother.

Brandon was still confused but on high alert. "If you share what you are looking at, maybe I might spare ripping off a few chunks from you!" He threatened. His heart was beating wildly in his chest for a reason he too was unaware of and his whole skin was washed in gooesbumps despite the abnormal body heat he was radiating. His brothers gazes were giving him creeps. Not only that, he felt his wolf stir awake, looking at him through his eyes. He was curious what the nutjobs were plotting now as he was way too old to be playing their silly games.

"Do you feel anything?" Jake whose gaze was rather comical asked Brandon.

"Yeah, I feel creeped out!" Brandon snarled.

Too focused on Brandon, the rest failed to witness the changes that happened to them as well. However, their wolves felt the change.

"What's that? Jake's wolf asked eyeing Caleb whose hair at the back had also changed to a light brown which was a pain contrast with the black. Shocked Jack spoke drawing the other's attention. "Caleb you too?" Jack pointed on Caleb's head, he rushed to check on himself and also noticed the change.

They had been born seven and looked exactly like the other. The only difference they had was their eyes colour. Even their wolves shared the same shade of their hair which is midnight black. The Alpha grew worried at this striking resemblance amongest all his Children. He sent out a group of scholars to go and seek if there was something that could be done for the well being of all his children.

His gamma who had led the scholars on their vouyage returned with a messenger from the oracles. The oracles had to meet the Alpha King in person to tell him of the prophecy nof his children.

....

We are so happy to have you visit our lands!" The Alpha King was delighted as he ushered his visitors in. His heart had been in his throat over the past months and the Luna felt bad for having implicated her mate. Smiling at his Luna, he held her hand assuringly and they went in to have word with the oracle.

Bring in the pups.. Alpha King." The oracle instructed to which the duo complied earnestly. Oracles were respected beings that connected the spiritual heavenly realm with the others. It was a gift of knowledge of the unknown and what could come to be. They were blessed with visions of the future and such were written in scrolls that only unlocked when time for the prophecy to manifest came to be.

The seven little pups were brought forth before the Oracle, he took in their striking resemblance and smiled at them. They were tense and their wolf spirits were growling in agitation to break free despite it not being time for them to transform.

He took a knife out of one of his bag and presented his palm to the pups. Their sharp eyes switched between the knife and the old ragged looking man but refused to comply to present their arms to him. All of them.

The Alpha growled at the pups as they were being disrespectful. He mindlinked them to comply and they did so with angry pouts. The oracles cut in the middle of their palms and collected the blood of all seven pups together.

He seilt rue bottle aside and dig in his bag again where he collected a very old and rusty scroll. The family of none were settled and watching silently. The Beta and Gamma were also present with their mates watching closely.

The oracle used a small spoon and mixed the blood together nicely then collected the scroll. Putting it in a standing position, he stated emptying the blood of the pups onto the scroll.

The audience watched in awe as the blood did some sort of cleansing as the once old and rusty scroll started glowing on each part of it thelat the blood touched leaving a vibrant gold and silver. Once clear of all it's rustiness, the blood magically dispersed into seven different portions at the golden paper and danced in swirls. The Oracle looked at the awed wolves in the room and smiled. He looked to the Luna too and shook his head.

"Tale as old as time....." he begun which had all those in the room perk up their ears and attention fixated on the Oracle.

..….........

The little princess looked on in the crowd. For two hours now, she had been ignored and no one actually came to approach her. Not that she is complaining, honestly it hurt to know that no matter where you go, you'll still be left out. With a sad smile, she exited the grand hall and went out to catch sight of the full moon at the balcony. It was so beautiful from high up where she stood and much more clear from here to see the moon than back at home.

The sky was glittering with millions of precious stones that lived miles away from earth. She smiled as the night's beauty washed her the negativity away. In a distance, she heard loud howls which caused her to flinch. THE WEREWOLVES!!!

She had heard stories about them and how the wolf kind didn't have control of themselves during the full moon. Stories from back at home that she heard while in the market area during festivals were the most fascinating and scary at the same time. She personally had a good impression of the wolf kind. They were praised of being loyal and overly protective of their kind which was a sweet gesture she'd been yearning for from those she called family but never got the chance.

Her train of thoughts was disrupted by a voice that was singing not far from where she stood, the moon light illuminated the bacliny where she stood. It was a male voice. When she looked on closely, the first thing she noted was the pointed ears and silky cream hair, at the edge of the ears were silver ornaments glittering with what was possibly diamonds.

"~~~~~Aha~~~~What she didn't know, was that her importance~~~~aha~~~~ equated to that of the moon than the stars~~~~~"

The man sang.

She had never heard a voice so soft yet masculine and hypnotising. It was in record that apart from the aqua sirens aka mermaids, the Elves took second in having the most beautiful voices that were soothing and calming. The dwarfs took the third position of course with their deep masculine voices, those worked charms mainly on ladies. Where as for the elves, the mixture of soft feminine features and yet soothing masculine voices made it a knock out for bothe men and women. It is said that their songs were tales of their past leader's glories and some spoke of the future that they too awaited.

The little princess hadn't realised that in her daze, she had been walking towards the elf man who was so focused on his singing. The tranquility of the night in addition to his magnetising voice drowned out everything.

"~~~ahaaaaa.... she'll have to choose, to love or to loose....it all~~~~~"

By the time he finished the song, the little princess was a few feet away from him. His silver eyes looked back at her and smirked. Hypnosis gone, she snapped out of her stupor and immediately took steps back.. With a bow. "I apologize Your Highness, I don't mean to intrude on you..."

"Isn't it beautiful?" he asked not minding that she had drwlawn close to him and his space. The little human frowned at first then nodded. He was watching the moon above. "I'm going to the woods. Would you accompany me my lady?" He asked eyeing her curiously. The red haired human had caught his attention from way back while he was in the hall. He saw that she was conflicted, wanting to stay unseen as possible yet want to get to know others.

What she didn't know was that many were very interested in interacting with her, especially the males..... but, it was like there was some invincible barrier that kept them away. Even he had failed to approach her despite wanting to for a long time. It seems, her spiritual barrier can only come down once she is comfortable and interested in something. Hence the luck for him to have her approach him. The song he had been singing, he had just composed it, it suited her so nicely.

Simply dressed and her red hair drew more attention to her than she'd imagine

"Ah, I...I'm really sorry...I" she looked out to the woods and the darkness creeped her, it was scray and she really wasn't out for monster adventure now, she gulped. "I can't go to the woods. I'm sorry." she bowed apologetically.

With a small smile. "It's ok." He watched as her barrier erected up again. 'Interesting!' he thought. "My name is Kalaron Adal. First son of Elf king Corril Adal Asadalf of the Lightron Woods, a pleasure to meet you my Lady" He have a small bow and his hair fell over his shoulders magestically.

"Princess Redpearl. The honour is mine." she said with a smile accompanied by a bow. Kalaron felt comfortable to be around with. "You sing so well Your Highness." she complimented with a smile and sincerity.

"One of my favourites." He replied and looked back off into the woods. His ears twitched a little and looked back at her apologetically. "I'm sorry, I have some where to be now. It was an honour to meet you Princess Redpearl and see you around." He bowed to which Redpearl nodded in understanding.

She watched as his silhouette disappeared into the dark. She felt accomplished! It was her first time being able to speak with a person of Royal heritage and not be under looked. It felt so nice.

In the woods, a group of seven wolves ran howling up to the moon....they were unstable which was DANGEROUS!
