"Do I look pretty enough" Bellissima asked her immediate younger sister
"you always look pretty Bella" Emilia said smiling at her
She gave her sister a small smile and turned to face her
"I think everything is just moving too fast"
"I know" Emilia sighed sitting besides her sister.
" I'm not ready to get married" she began "I'm not even ready to make babies"
Emilia chuckled "I know that too but you could always prepare yourself"
she patted her sister lightly.
"to make babies?"
"Oh god, no, not that" Emilia laughed causing her sister to laugh as well
"To get married, I heard Dominico is quite handsome" she held her sisters hands.
"So did I"
"Thank goodness, at least you're way better than Renata or Rosa"
bella looked at her and they both laughed.
"Truth" she blushed.
"I don't even know what to say to him"
"Oh I know" Emilia said excitedly standing up adjusting her dress.
"firstly, you have to act sexy, very sexy" she squinted.
"Oh my God!"
"Mhmm"
She stood before Bella, her legs crossed and hands on her phone.
"Then..." she paused "you have to act like all he says is funny"
"Even when they aren't?" Bella asked and her sister nodded.
"say something"
"Urhm..." she Looked up "you look so beautiful tonight"
"Oh, Stop it" Emilia laughed waving her off "that's how you do it"
"I don't think so" a voice came from the door and they turned to look at Rosa.
"Rosa!" Emilia exclaimed, quickly sitting
"Could you please leave us" Rosa looked at the youngest in the room and Emilia frowned.
"I'd like to be educated too"
"I'm always around" Rosa eyed her "now leave"
Emilia scoffed walking away quickly and slamming the door to Bella's room.
"Let me guess, mum sent you" bella asked, Crossing her hands.
"yes she did, but i wouldn't have come, if I didn't want to" she smiled at her sister and picked her hands gently from the bed "I know you're nervous, you have every reason to be"
Bella nodded at her.
"but you have to understand, this is life, this is the life of a Casatto, things come unexpectedly and things do not happen as you wish"
She didn't smile this time her face unreadable
"you are a very beautiful woman Bella, and you know that, most people believe that beautiful women could pull through anything, but you know that is very far from true"
Bellissima nodded again.
"I believe that every woman can pull through anything at all, if she puts her mind to it"
They smiled softly at each other and remained quiet for a while
"what is marriage like?" Bella suddenly asked
"Marriage is nothing Without Love, that is why you must learn to love Dominico with all your heart"
"and how do I do that"
"you give in, give in completely, accept your fate, find a personality or feature that you love the most in your fiancee and hold on to it"
She nodded, smiling at her elder sister "all I hope for you, is that you do not need to do much to impress your fiancee, I pray that he loves you, just as much as you would learn to"
"Thank you very much Ro" she beamed "you're such a good woman
Rosa blushed and kissed her hands
"I'd send Emilia in now" Bella nodded "and by the way" she paused, turning back to face her "please do not laugh at the end of every sentence he makes"
they both laughed.
"just be yourself"
She nodded, watching her leave her room.
Not long after, Emilia walked back in and the two chatted the time away, whilst Bella spoke with her sister, she couldn't help but worry, yes it was very normal to bother about such things, but her mind had gone extremely far, she had a lot to think about
Would the man find her attractive?
Was he that attractive?
she wasn't worried or bothered that she was going to be getting married, as a matter of fact, she was quite excited. It's all she had longed for, all she had waited for since she had been bethroted.
To her, marriage was a gift, she wasn't scared of it, she wanted it very much, she only feared and felt anxious at the moment because she had not expected it soon. She was waiting patiently for the next year to arrive because like her family would call it, it was her year.
Growing, Bella had never envied anyone in her life, none of her siblings, no one at all, she knew she was enough, beautiful and graceful, thus the only thing she'd wish for was her fiancee to see her the way she saw herself, the way the world saw her.
When her father threw large parties, most times they'd be called upon to greet the guests and they'd all do that happily, cheerfully. The men would kiss their hands and smile at them, careful not to do too much as they belonged to another. Most of the guests would smile at Bella and kiss her and so softly whispering to her 'such a lucky woman'
Bella had thought several days about that sentence, what could that have meant, what made her lucky or had the man said that to every one of her siblings but she supposed not, because the manner he had spoken to her was very different.
Another had said "you are so fortunate to be with Dominico, such beautiful babies you would have"
and that had made her smile until she thought deeply, what did the man mean by that?
was Dominico lucky to have her or was she the lucky one, she wanted to be treated like the diamond she was, would she find her fiancee extremely proud and unfit to love her the manner she wished to be loved. She had heard of the man as beautiful, powerful but never sweet nor kind. She hoped that most people had found it irrelevant to include those in his description
"you have to get ready amore" her mother walked in grinning at her.
"can you help me Mum"
"Off course honey" she laughed "that's why I'm here" Alice loved her daughter so much, she was the most loved amongst all.
And yes she was extremely happy about the wedding, probably more happy than benedetta.
"You're so lucky Bella" she whispered, combing her hair slowly.
"Why do you say that ma" Bellissima asked remembering she was once told this by a guest.
"There are so many reasons why I would say that, amore" she smiled still doing her child's hair.
"To begin, you are about to get married to the only son of Lorenzo" she blushed. Bella rolled her eyes looking at the mirror studying what her mother had done to her hair.
"do you like it?" she asked
"yes mum, I do" Bella smiled looking at her reflection. She really did love it, but she found it difficult to express her happiness, after what her mother had just said
"If i wasn't to get married to Dominico would you still consider me lucky" she asked her mother, her voice escaping her lips softly.
"Yes amore!" Her mother exclaimed, looking at her daughter in the mirror.
Bella stared at her through the mirror.
"I find you lucky in So many ways, you are beautiful and you know all of these" she paused and turned her child to face you.
" listen to me, amore" she looked at her sweet girl "you should not need anyone to tell you reasons why they find you lucky"
Bella nodded.
"Figure them out yourself" she pointed at her child "you are your greatest supporter"
Bellissima nodded again, smiling at her mother.
Alice put in her best in her daughters appearance and when she was done, Bella looked at herself, smiling at her reflection in the mirror.
She looked so beautiful, flawless.
"Thank you ma" she smiled at her mother "i look so beautiful"
"you always do"
"I will leave it to you, be done in 15 minutes"
"Oh my god!" Emilia screamed when she walked in "you are so ready to be brided"
Bella stared at her sister, watching her hype her up.
Obviously, she didn't have much friends, just a few from school and they hardly ever spoke, she couldn't just call them and say "I'm getting married"
No, she wouldn't even dare.
Most of her mates were the ones to choose their fiancees and whenever they wished.
Oh she had imagined what that would feel like, having such power in your hands, she had thoughts about the gifts her friends had been blessed with. A gift unknown to them, she imagined what it would feel like to choose who to love and not to learn to love whoever was chosen for you.
"I know everything will go fine bell" Emilia smiled at her sister, rubbing her hands.
she loved bellissima so much, so much that it hurt to see her sister in this position, she couldn't imagine Bella leaving home, moving away.
what would become of her?
