My name is Abel, or at least it is now.
I am cursed, by who? I have no clue, maybe it was god, maybe it wasn't, i stopped wondering why i was cursed a few centuries ago.
Human minds were never meant to endure the passage of time for a long time, especially not eternity.
Anyways back to being cursed, it's quite a simple curse, my curse works as a imperfect immortality. After i died the first time, i awoke in a new body, in this new body i was grateful for my second chance at life, but alas, after exactly 365 days the body i was inhabiting fell limp, turned cold, then died, the cycle then repeated itself over and over, the same thing happening every time after a year passed.
This happened so long ago, long enough that i've seen kingdoms rise, thrive, and fall. I've memorized languages, gained new knowledge, and met people of unknown origin. Yet, over so many years, after so many centuries, nothing has changed, i'm still cursed to life and vexed to death, my shackles unchanging.
Until they weren't, until i awoke, and lived 366 days.
