Chereads / The true power of Honesty / Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

Honesty loved the story but felt uncomfortable now. Truth tried to cut the tension and asked where your name came from. Honesty grew kind of sad and said I am not sure. I was abandoned as an infant and all I was told was that Honesty was printed on all my clothes and diapers. It was a note attached to me that said that for my safety my parents had to give me away and they prayed that the family could take loving care of me. My family moved not long after that to the big city and I grew up there.

I moved back here after my parents died and I inherited the house I live in now. We never visited this place though and I wondered why but once I came to sell the house I fell in love with the town and the house. After that I sold my house in the city and moved here. I did not have anything to keep me in the city. I was an only child and after an uneasy relationship I needed a fresh start so here I am. Truth was shocked to hear that she was from this town but moved away so long ago. He wished she had grown up with him and he would know her, her likes and dislikes.

He suddenly felt ashamed of his thoughts. He finally turned into the police parking lot and turned to Honesty once the car was turned off. She was nervous and it showed on her face. She looked at Truth and he assured her that they just must get her statement tonight and it should not last longer than two hours. Honesty looked at Truth and asked him if he was going to be there with her, and he said in a comforting tone I will if you want me to be. He wanted to be needed by her and that feeling felt strange to him because never worried about the opposite sex. It's not like Truth did not like women but he hated the game that the women played today.

He wanted a love like his parents had and refused to settle for less, so he remains single for most of his adult life. The one relationship he did have he only did it for his mother but soon found out that he did not like anything about her. It was not because Truth was not attractive, he stood at 6'7, 275 pounds dark chocolate complexion with slanted light brown eyes with an outer blue ring that framed the brown. He worked out regularly, so his body was almost perfect. He wore a low cut that showed his waves and a smile that you can get lost in. Honesty felt better and opened the car door. Truth opens the door to the police station for Honesty and she walks in first. Honesty was a shy female and never went anywhere besides work.

The only friends she had were her coworkers and it took two years to finally make friends with them, so many people in the town did not know Honesty and stared at her as soon as she came in. Once everyone realized that she was with Detective Grier their curiosity was really piqued. The women in the station all tried to get Truth attention for so many years and to no avail he did not even notice them. Now he was walking in with this beautiful woman, and no one knew who she was. Detective Grier how are you today many of the male officers said as they tried to get a better look at Honesty.

Truth gave a protective look that sent a message to all the men that had their eye on Honesty, and they all stopped in their track in fear. The women did not miss the look that Truth gave the guys and became jealous of Honesty immediately while wondering who she was and who she was to Detective Grier. Detective Grier I have some more statements about Tim and his behavior before he arrived at Miss Miles house. Truth said OK hand them to me and prepare interview room three for me please.
