After finishing his bath, Aidan asked Maninsov to bring him his clothes. And he also asked for a towel.
He then dried himself and dressed up.
"Let's go," Aidan said.
They left the room and walked to the cafeteria.
"And I'm back," Aidan said, raising his hands in relief.. "It's funny. Last time, I also walked in this hall with you. It's only a few days, but it felt like a long time has passed."
"You said you're going to hunt for some monster," Maninsov said. "What took you so long?"
Aidan sighed. "There was an accident. When I and Kalukaga searched the forest for our target. I forgot what the monster's called. A giant ape appeared and chased us. Then on the way, we met with Gomon and Siraye."
"Gomon and Siraye? The one who sparred on the field a few days ago?"
"Yes! What a coincidence, right? As we tried to escape from the ape, Gomon made his golems explode and we were thrown into sky. And the landing was terrible. I was lucky that I learn how to heal. Then we tried to go home through the forest."
"Wow, you went into full adventure there."
"I guess, so," Aidan laughed. He still couldn't believe how he survived that. "I will introduce you to Sofiel. Can you imagine we actually pulled her out of a snake's mouth?"
"How did that happen?"
"Same as me. A giant bird picked her up then threw her away. Unfortunately, a snake swallowed her. Imagine what would happen if we weren't there."
Aidan and Maninsov arrived at the cafeteria. It was a massive hall and the atmosphere was quite lively here.
The cafeteria had around five floors, each with different shops that sold various food. The table and seats were already filled with people.
Now how do I find the others? Aidan thought to himself.
"There." Maninsov pointed to the second floor where Gomon was waving around to get their attention.
They strode towards the second floor and arrived at the table. Kalukaga and the others were already there.
Sofiel too.
With confidence, Aidan sat next to her abruptly.
I have taken a bath, Aidan told himself.
Then he smiled at her. He had looked at himself in the mirror. There were no stains on his teeth.
"You're here," Sofiel said with a smile.
Aidan nodded. "Some of you might not know who this is so let me introduce him."
He stood. "This is Maninsov. You can say he's my very first friend in this school. He knows a lot and he told me a lot of stuff. I hope you guys can make a good friend of him."
"Hello," Maninsov said, smiling. "Kalukaga already know me. And Gomon is quite famous. So, only the two of you are left."
Gomon is famous? So his talk about getting girls was real?
Aidan almost couldn't believe what he heard.
"I'm Sofiel." She smiled.
"Siraye." She looked away.
Putting two contrasting girl side by side was quite interesting. The difference looked very obvious. Aidan chuckled inside and sat down.
Maninsov sat down too.
"So," Aidan started. "What should we get?"
Maninsov shook his head. "Aidan. Do you bring any money with you?"
Aidan slapped his own forehead. He didn't have any money at all.
"Why would you need money. The food here is free. I have ordered for you, Aidan. Just sit down and relax." Gomon turned around. He wore a long-sleeved shirt today. And an iron hand came out of the sleeve.
It seemed Gomon tried to hide it. Well, people would ask a lot of question if not for that.
Maninsov laughed. "I am just messing with him."
"Thanks, Gomon," Aidan said. He turned around to look at Sofiel. She was quiet today. Not sure why. "So, where is your dorm?"
"Siraye helped me to find the teacher earlier. They gave me dorm 69."
That was quite far from him. "Nice. I promised Maninsov that we would tell him about our journey. Is that fine with you guys?"
Kalukaga nodded. "Do tell."
Gomon gave him a thumbs up. "I am fine with that."
Siraye and Sofiel agreed too.
Aidan then proceed to tell the whole story to Maninsov. Gomon added his own narrative too. Sometime Kalukaga would join in.
Sofiel joined on the fun and stood up as she described the fight with her hand moving around in the air.
"Fate seems to be on your side," Maninsov said. The waiter came and put their drinks on the table. He sipped his tea before he continued. "No one could survive all of that. Especially the last part. Rarely, someone survived an attack from a fourth-level shaman."
"We were lucky," Aidan said. "The Ramthall family came and mowed them down. It was such a sight to see hundreds of golems fighting like that."
Maninsov nodded as he put his tea cup. "And you said you met a man named Feval and Ledrind?"
"Yes," Gomon said. "That man was huge. He wore a big glittering golden armor and brought a long sword with him. He was powerful too. We couldn't escape from the cultists without him. I am not sure about Ledrind. He just throw flames everywhere."
Aidan bitterly smiled. That flame helped them against the beasts, so Ledrind was quite strong. He recalled how the flame went past through his body but didn't burn him.
"And here's your food," A waitress said with a smile as she held the tray. She was a non-human, indicated by the pair of horn on her forehead. She looked beautiful though.
She put the food down one by one. The scent already tickled his nose and his stomach growled.
Sofiel chuckled beside him. "I bring some buns with me. Would you like some?"
Aidan was glad that Sofiel returned to herself. She was a little quiet earlier. "Sure, Sofiel. I'll eat your buns anytime."
That last sentence sounded wrong, but Aidan removed the thought away and received the buns that Sofiel offered.
Aidan bit her buns. It was warm. She probably heated it before bringing it here. And it tasted good too.
Sofiel's bun is the best!
