The three of them strode into the dark tunnel. Sofiel waved her hands and the light orbs floated forward, lighting up the tunnel.
As they went deeper inside, Aidan caught a scent of wet, rotten meat. The scent became stronger as they walked deeper.
"Are you sure we can find the ring at the end of the tunnel?' Aidan asked.
Edoma nodded. "Yes. I am sure."
Then he could only hold this uncomfortable feeling. If the ring wasn't there, then he could only blame himself, but that was fine. Aidan wasn't afraid of failures. He was afraid of giving up. Only when he kept on fighting would he have the possibility to reach his goal.
'Keep walking and you'll reach your destination. Stop walking and you'll stay in the same spot for the rest of your life.'
That was what his father used to tell him. He said a bunch of other stuff but what truly matters was how to keep moving and keep fighting.
