"Kiko get your ass down here right now!!" Said a tall man that was looking at his watch.
The man looked around and saw his three other children that had come down on time. Even though all three looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there at that moment. He couldn't help but smack his teeth and look away. He started to count down from 10. After 8 he looked annoyed, after he got to 5 he started looking at his watch to make sure he actually counted the full ten seconds correctly before he blew up.
After he got to 3 he was preparing his voice and stretched so he wouldn't pull anything. The man's other three kids looked at him and rolled their eyes. It seemed as if this was a regular occurrence for them. Though it might not always be their baby sister that was the subject of it.
Once it got down to 1 the man was ready to take off when a voice came from the top of the stairs. Once she came into view of her father she looked at him with a smile and pushed her glasses up her nose. Because she had rushed to the stairs, knowing that her father was counting down, her glasses had shifted. She gave her father an award-winning smile.
"Dad I'm coming." As she said that she had started walking down the stairs and looked at her brothers while her father turned towards the door and mouthed 'reluctantly' to them. The eldest and second eldest brothers both rolled their eyes and smirked while following after their dad. The youngest brother was trying to hold back a laugh as he walked back. Unfortunately, some of the laughs escaped from him. This caused their father to look back and glare at the third youngest brother.
"Oh so you're laughing now, you can go ahead and go on the Kennedy mission when we get back." the father said with a smirk on his face. The eldest son's expression didn't change because he knew his father would not really send him on the mission. As well was the only daughter because she knew more about the mission than her two elder brothers. But the boy in the middle, between the eldest son and the youngest sibling which was the daughter, freaked out when they heard about the Kennedy mission.
" Oh dad don't scare Raymond(youngest brother), and Ambrose(Second Eldest brother), it's not like he could handle that mission anyway. Let's just focus on getting this night over with. Are we taking one car or are we all driving ourselves?" She really wanted to drive herself so she could leave anytime she wanted. But that wouldn't stop her from leaving it would just be a little more inconvenient. It looked like her brothers had thought the same thing as soon as they heard the second option. But their dad was already pouting before he heard her say the second option. Probably because she had stopped his fun right in the middle.
When He heard her say the second option he looked at his youngest child and only daughter. Inside he was at least relieved that she would actually at least go this time instead of escaping back to their home. Though this house was new, they were in a whole new kingdom and it's not like she knew anyone at this meeting. So maybe she was finally, at least willing, to find her destined. But he still wanted to take the big SUV so they could show up as a united front. He thought it was already unfortunate his wife couldn't come to the event since she was in the old kingdom tying up some loose ends.
"We'll be taking the SUV today Kiko(Daughter)." The father said much to the sad faces of his sons.
"Well alright you heard him, I'll drive." The eldest son said quickly speeding up to grab the keys from where several keys hanging by the foyer.
"Malachi(eldest brother) hell no, you always drive the SUV. Let me drive." Raymond asked while running to catch up to Malachi who was already out the door. Ambrose just ran after them to make sure he got the passenger seat. Their father rarely sat in the front seat when one of his kids was driving. Saying things like he rather not see his death coming. As the boys ran out the door Kiko when up to her father and grabbed his arm so he could escort her out of the house. As they walked her father started to talk.
"You aren't planning on jumping out of the car while it's on the highway to get out of the event tonight right?" Her dad looked at her half-jokingly half-seriously.
"Oh come on dad, I was young back then. Besides, I wouldn't want to ruin this outfit." Kiko said as she briefly let go of her dad to twirl in one step and then got right back to her dads' side. Of course, he had a questioning look. She would be in the middle seat this time anyway so he decided not to worry about it.
At the natural end of their conversation, they got to the family's white SUV. Which Malachi thought would be a good contrast to the family's all-black attire. As the family piled in, which wasn't all too peaceful as Raymond tried to take the keys from Malachi. But that was settled with one growl from their father and Raymond begrudgingly sitting in the backseat. Since Ambrose had already been sitting in the passenger seat.
It would take them 15 minutes to get there. Well, it was originally 30 but Malachi isn't a fan of a thing called the speed limit. As they were riding the kid's father was very nervous. He really wanted tonight to go well. Hopefully at least one of his kids met their destined. It was causing him and his wife a lot of stress. their oldest was already 26 and still had not met his destined. Well all he could do was pray to the god of destiny Zachariah and hope for the best.
