Chapter 1 - chapter 1

Richard was feeling as if he had consumed twenty bottle of liquor already.

He could not understand it because he had only had a soft drink.

He was shocked to wake up in a small dark place. Judging from the sound of the moving engine he could tell that he was in a car boot.

He had no idea how he had ended up there but one thing was certain to him; he had been kidnapped!

If he was to ever be deciding a case on his kidnapper one day he was probably going to give him a death sentence or a life imprisonment.

But how was he going to get out of this boot in the first place.

Even if he did he would not be able to fight because he was feeling very weak.

His kidnapper must have spiked his drink. He had not had a grudge with anyone for so long.

Who was after him and what did they want.

He felt the engine stop. Before long the boot was opened too.

In front of him stood his kidnapper. He was masked and had dark clothes on.

" What do you want from me?" Richard asked pleadingly.

His kidnapper did not answer him. Instead he pulled him out of the boot and Richard fell to the ground.

Richard felt a grip hold on his leg before he started being dragged into the forest.

He could tell it was a forest from the many trees he saw.

It was already dark but the moon was full and it's light penetrated through the trees.

He began thinking about his life. In his life he had never done anyone any harm so why was this happening to him?

Infact he had always helped everyone. As a judge he always made sure to punish criminals brutally.

Wasn't that being good enough. He always passed fair judgement and never did injustice to anyone.

His kidnapper was still pulling him by his leg brutally.

Richard wanted to scream for help but he did not have the strength.

He stayed silent as he was being dragged while making a silent prayer for this to come to an end soon.

However he did not have much expectations. He felt like he certainly had reached a dead end.

Not even a miracle could save him. Besides he never believed in miracles.

The only thing that could save him now was his kidnapper. He was the only one who could spare his life.

His kidnapper suddenly stopped pulling him. He grabbed him and made him stand.

Richard was shocked at the sight.

He saw a coffin placed on front of him. There was a boqueet of red roses placed on top of the coffin.

A hole large enough for the coffin had been dug in advance.

" Isn't it beautiful?" his kidnapper asked referring to the coffin.

'No how can a coffin be beautiful you idiot ' he wanted to say.

Of all the kidnappers why did he have to land in the hands of such a ruthless one like this.

This heathen was actually going to bury him alive.

At that point Richard was certain that no man could ever be unfortunate as he was.

" Listen I have money. I can arrange for you to get the money but please spare my life " he pleaded.

" Who said I need money?" the masked guy asked coldly.

If he didn't want money then why was he after him. Or had someone paid him to kill Richard.

The masked guy took the red roses and gave them to Richard.

This gesture shocked him. Why was his kidnapper giving him flowers. 'Is he a gay or something'

Oh no! It couldn't be. Might he be a gay rapist. That would be worse than dying to Richard.

That would make him loose his dignity. ' come on. Who thinks about dignity on their death bed?' he thought to himself.

That was actually the bitter truth. The reality was that he was dying and completely helpless too.

What was going to become of his wife and children?

" Look sir. I have a wife and children and they need me " he begged.

" Don't worry about your wife I have already taken care of her. As for your children, they are all grown ups and can take care of themselves" the kidnapper replied.

Richard was puzzled again. What did he mean by taking care of his wife?

How could a human be so heartless. Did he not have feelings at all.

" Who are you?" he asked In a serious tone.

" What's the need of knowing if you are going to die?" the kidnapper asked with a smirk.

Dying? Was this really his end. Would this be the last day breathing?

It sure was. There was no more need of arguing. After all what was the need of fighting if he was going to die after all.

Richard felt a needle inject something into his blood stream.

" What's that for?" he asked.

" It's meant to preserve your body so that you won't decompose " the kidnapper replied coldly.

He was emitting a dark terrifying cold aura. His voice sounded dangerous.

He seemed to be lethal. Richard had no hopes left at all.

Inside the coffin was dry ice. His kidnapper told him that it would supplement the injection.

The kidnapper forced him into the coffin and locked it.

He placed it inside the hole and covered with soil.

Richard was now in a dark cold place. He was almost freezing. He was also having difficulty in breathing.

He had run out of oxygen. He felt his body become weak as his heartbeat slowed down.

The kidnapper looked at the sky and saw the full moon.

He found it pitiful to die in search a day. Anyway this had to be done.

He had complete faith in his plan. Inside the coffin he left behind a plastic White Rose.

At the moment he felt as if he was walking on the path of glory.

He was a few hours to achieving his dreams. He felt very proud of himself.

He had made sure to commit such a crime that not even the ghost of the victim would be able to solve if summoned.

He was finally going to make the world loose their brains trying to solve this riddle.

The best part was that he was just getting started.

He was going to make detectives go on their knees pleading to him.

He would only stop if the whole world was shaken by his doings.

He would make sure to achieve what no other killer had before.

It was only a matter of days before a heavy rain fell and covered his grave leaving no trace.

Fortunately for him time was on his side. He had no other commitments except killing.

He longed for the time when he would steal all newspapers headlines.

He went back to the car and drove it to the end of a cliff.

He set it on fire and left it to burn. Feeling satisfied he walked away till he was far away from the scene.

He was going to have his big break soon.
