The next few days passed in a flurry of activity in the Imperial Palace. The servants were busily preparing the activities to officially welcome the Lady Empress' Progenitor and Sovereign's Consort Mother, Queen Mathilde to the Capitol.
Prince Helios had claimed he was keeping the triplets sequestered for their safety and merely stated that they were fine whenever asked. Rowena and Queen Mathilde, both made it a point to inquire about them every time their paths crossed with a member of the Cyran delegation much to the annoyance of Prince Helios.
The Cyran delegation had arrived before Queen Mathilde, so she had never met them. However, she enjoyed needling the arrogant prince. He had tried to embarrass her during their first meeting. And he was obsequious and condescending to both her and Rowena. She did not like that. And she would make him pay for it. In a sweet and charming way, of course.
