After a very tedious and long day of listening to various emissaries attempt to convince the Crown Prince of their need to forge alliances with the Dragorian Empire instead of being conquered by them, the Imperial Couple retired to their rooms for dinner.
Daimon was impressed with the Rowena handled the various ambassadors. She was witty and clever and always charming. Yet she didn't let anyone get away with anything. But no matter what she said, she always made it sound sweet and gracious. And, most importantly, she made it appear that she was simply following the directives of her husband.
Once they were alone and seated for dinner, Rowena turned to her husband with a genuine smile. "Did you enjoy the show?"
"Yes, I did." He replied smiling.
"Good." She smiled back at him.
She hesitated for a moment then asked, "Did I overstep my bounds?"
"No," he reassured her.
