"I…I could teach you the language, if you'd like." Zella said hesitantly. Technically, she wasn't allowed to teach anyone outside the clergy. But surely, the Lady Empress was worthy of being taught it.
Besides, she reasoned, the Holy Light itself had led her here to the palace. So, this must be why the Holy Light led her to the Lady Empress.
Rowena looked up at in surprise. "Really?" She asked her eyes shining as her lips spread into a radiant smile.
"Yes."
"I would like that very much." Rowena said. "But first could you tell me the story of the Holy Light? I've only been attending services for a few weeks, so I haven't really heard to story."
"Certainly, I know it very well." Zella said. And with that she launched into the tale she'd heard every day since she entered the convent at three-years-old.
