Chapter 9 - [Goblin Commander]

Tak Flirn. He was the raid party leader composed of a total of five adventurers to be exact. To describe his outward appearance, he was a middle-aged man who had blond hair, an Extravagantly-groomed mustache, a masculine physique, and wearing a full set of body armor.

It seemed like he was one of the adventurers that focused to buy and raise their levels by completing the materials. Moreover, Tak Flirn belonged to the berserker class, so it was given that he was known for being an aggressive fighter. On top of that, as long as he absorbed higher, the more he was getting stronger.

Because of his ability and class, he managed to become the party leader that consisted of skilled adventurers.

He poked his finger toward the green blood pouring on the surface. After that, he smelled it, determining what kind of creature died in this place. Since the monsters disappeared when their cores were seized, so it was natural others would be having a hard time finding their traits.

"This blood came from the Lizard men. Based on its smells, it seems like they died one hour ago, or earlier than that." He concluded.

Well, as a berserker it understood that he was possessed of keen senses, that's why. But the true reason behind this because Tak maximized his ability, knowing they could be always useful in a different types of situations.

"Just like what I said, Leader Tak." A young man with blue hair and had scabbard on his waist responded. His name was Trugal Yui. As of now, he was a B-rank swordsman.

The other remaining members belonged to the mage, marksman, and fighter class. Since they have the class of fighter and berserker, they decided to not recruit a pure tank. Why? It was simple those two classes could sustain damage, apart from that, they wanted to maximize the power of the berserker class, so as much as possible they wanted him to receive more damage.

First and foremost, the mage has the name of Lylia Pen. She can make a magical orb that could explode immediately as she will.

Second, was the marksman, and his name was Soria Orbin. He was using a bow to deal with the opponent, with his accuracy, precision, and high agility were the main reason why he was the key member of this party.

Lastly, the Fighter. His name was Tyga Arm, he was armed with a shimmering spear and sword. By using those weapons, he can inflict high damage while in the defensive stance.

Furthermore, all of them were in B-rank, aside from, Tak that already in the A-rank tier.

To begin with, Soria stepped forward and looked at the path in front of him. After that, he closed his eyes, then placed his hand in one of his ears as he was trying to determine the current location of the adventurers ahead of them. While he was doing that, automatically, his party members stopped talking, knowing that Soria's ears would be sensitive due to that skill.

[Wave detection!]

By using this skill, a couple of images kept flashing inside his head as he was analyzing the sound that coming from the surrounding. Yes, this was one of his best skills.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he immediately spun around and faced them. "850 meters the exact location of those adventurers. Based on the sound, it seems like they are just two who are taking this expedition." He informed them nonchalantly.

Frugal looked at him with a serious expression on his face. "Ha?! Are you sure that your skills didn't misread them? 850 meters are quite long, they might be just left behind."

Well, Trugal was right with his reason as it was obvious that 850 meters for Soria's ears to reach.

"Why are you raising your voice at me? I just give the information that I read, but I never tell that is accurate." Soria said in a deep tone and furiously looked at him as if he would like to pierce this man's head by using his arrows.

Tak immediately noticed the changes in Soria's aura, and that's why he immediately stepped between them. "Stop that, we are not here fight to against each other." He reminded them before looking at Trugal and adding these words. "And you, Trugal! I'm not allowing any kind of rude behavior here. You should apologize to him."

His eyes widened, then looked at the other adventurers who were not paying too much attention to them. Or to be more specific, they were used to Trugal's attitude, but at the same time, his reasoning was also quite right. Plus, they understood that Soria was taking the limelight of this party, so it was natural for Trugal to feel envious as he had high potential.

Without making any second thoughts, he narrowly bowed his head. "I apologize for my rudeness." He said in a calm tone, then looked at their leader. "Also, I'm really sorry about that, Leader Tak."

Soria gradually leaned his back against the post while his hands were positioned under his arms.

"It's good that you should know how to accept your mistake. Also, as long as I'm your party leader, you must not fight each other no matter how deep or narrow your reason. If you break my rules, prepare your life, and I will make sure I'm getting it away from you." They warned them while showing his killing intent.

Four of them flinched as they were terrified of how large the scale power of their leader was. Yet, it didn't last as Tak was well informed might be the other adventurers noticed their current location.

"Let's forget about that. We should focus on our main job here."

Trugal slowly approached him. "What we should do right now, Leader Tak? If we just let them ahead of us, I'm sure that the core we can collect here going to decrease." He informed him in a polite tone, avoiding committing any kind of mistake as he knew their leader would never hesitate to kill anyone even if it was him.

"Well, our goal is to reach the twelfth floor as soon as possible. It is not a good thing that someone is clearing the path for us? Though, I understand what are you trying to say, but it would be better if we let them have their expedition since we do not own this tower."

Yes, Tak was a kind leader, but he was really bad if he was another opponent. How they could say this? Because he will do everything he could just to make the adventurers suffer, even if he has to kill his family.

At this point, Trugal didn't try to argue with his decision, despite the fact, that earnings were important. "As you wish, Leader Tak."

"If it's the case, we should proceed with our expedition." But before they left everyone that made them surprised. "If there's a monster approach to us, it's your decision whether you want to fight them or not. Now, I just would like to meet the adventurers ahead of us."

All of them had no idea why their leader suddenly became interested in that party.

I'm just going to follow you!

Me as well!

Monster's core is not valuable, your life is more important.

When the moment they finished giving their comments, the five adventurers dashed straightforwardly just to catch up with the other party.

Dust and rocks enveloped the entire place as the five adventurers showed tremendous speed. To describe them, they were like a motorcycle that had a full throttle. If they can keep this pacing, there was no doubt they would be able to catch up to them.

__

15 minutes had easily passed, the five adventurers sometimes needed to fight a monster since they were jumping toward them. However, the thing here was their numbers, each race of monsters decreased for some reason. Well, the better explanation here was the party ahead of them was executing all the monsters here.

Moreover, all of them came to halt after reaching the stair that would lead them to the ninth floor. This expedition was way faster than usual as it took exactly one hour to reach the ninth floor all the way from the entrance, but now they reached it in just 30 minutes.

Moreover, Soria took a glance at the stair, hearing the heavy stomps coming from the other adventurers. "If we would run right now, there's a high chance we are able to meet them." He said in a calm tone.

Tak moved his legs without hesitation since those adventurers piqued his attention after seeing the current situation on the eighth floor.

"Let's keep going! Also, catching up to them is the main reason why we raise our speed in the first place."

Swoosh!

Soon, the sound of footsteps was getting louder and louder as they attained a closer distance. But when moment, Trugal increases his speed, he already fell to the ground before he could notice it.

"Who are you?! Why are you chasing us?!"
