Chapter 29 - I'm The Speed Of Light In The Dark (1)

Soon, Ling and Hary decided to have a new expedition, but this time the place was different because of the skirmish that happened between Blood and Crezania. Well, it was the best option they had right now to avoid unnecessary fights, especially, to the ranker they can't beat even if they combined their current power.

__

Meanwhile, a grimoire appeared right in front of Hary's eyes and now its page was switching automatically as he was cast one of his skills.

[Arise portal!]

Suddenly, a blue portal occurred next to him. That skill had a restriction as the caster must reach a specific before he/she could teleport.

Even though it was too obvious, still, Ling asked him. "What is that?"

Hary narrowly looked at him, "As you can see, this is a portal that leads us to the Graveyard." He responded nonchalantly and invited him to come closer.

Graveyard. It's a farming place that is surrounded by a monster that was around 15 to 20 level. For them, it's a good place for a ranker if they rush to reach level 20.

"By hearing that place's name, I could easily tell it's quite dangerous," Ling uttered.

"Of course, and for your information all the places here are dangerous. But don't worry I'm good at boosting someone." Hary smiled at him, at the same time, excited to see how good was Ling. Why? Because he wondered how Ling could last when he was facing Crezania.

Boosting/ Boost. It's a term when the high-level ranker helps the low-level ranker. In order to do that, they must find a place that isn't suitable for the low-level ranker. With that, the monster that existed there could give higher EXP than usual. Also, it has another method, by giving the last hit to the low-level ranker.

As soon as Hary explained that term. It seemed like Ling easily got the gist of it as he needed his head without making any second thoughts.

"If that's the case, let's move then.".

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Both of them entered the portal, and just like that, they reached the area as they were now standing in front of the huge where they could see the Graveyard text.

Moreover, this place was dimmer than the recent place where they stood earlier. But what they should expect, was it was Graveyard so it was natural this farming had a different setting.

And yes, the virtual world and the real world still had the same timeline. But it can't be helped to change some areas to fit within the place, or easy to say, to become more realistic that's why.

At this point, it appeared Hary would like to maximize Ling's passive skill as he was the one who chose this farming site. Hmm... At first, he was looking at him Ling with curious eyes, trying to see if there were any changes, but nothing happened.

'His speed and strength don't increase at all. Don't tell me that skill has restrictions before it activates.' Hary uttered to his mind.

To begin with, around them were thousands of tombs. Also, they heard the sound of magic skills and sword cutting the monster's body as other rankers were having an expedition.

"Ling, before we entered this arc. You should know this information first."

Hary started to elaborate on all the types of monsters that existed here like undead skeletons, ghouls, and rotten wolves. Those were the basic monsters they would once they entered. Aside from that, he suggested Ling should try to inflict higher damage to have higher EXP.

"I understand. But what kind of monster should I avoid? Or to put it simply, the monsters can't beat my current ability." Ling asked as this time he would like to avoid all the dangerous things that might happen once he was careless.

Hary kneaded his chin and looked at the bright moon over them. "Well, I'm here to back you so I guess you can kill those monsters." He briefly paused for a second after now remembered that he must avoid no matter. "Oh, I forgot. If you see the monster called pumpkin head, try to run as much as possible. That's the boss of this place, so it would be better if we don't get in touch with it."

Ling frowned his brows as those words came to him like Hary can't defeat that monster with his current power. "Why? I thought you can defeat all the monsters here since you are the one who select this place."

"I'm not telling you that I can't kill that monster, but I admitted it would be a tough one." Hary responded, wanting Ling don't expect too much from him just because he had a higher level than him.

"Wait for a second, what is your current level?" Ling asked.

"As of now, I'm level 39."

"What is the required level if you want to have an expedition at the Graveyard?"

"You must be around level 20 or 25. Why?"

"If you already surpassed the requirements, then why did you bother to fight the pumpkin head monster?" Ling asked as he didn't get the point of avoiding that monster, especially, since the monster owned this place that had more valuable rewards and high experience than the other ordinary monster.

Hary replied with a sigh. "You didn't get it if I just explain or describe it to you, so it would be better if you see it with your eyes." Hary looked around, finding a good spot to start their expedition. "Let's go, Ling. We are wasting our time."

Swoosh!

After he said those words, Hary had a malicious smile on his face as he cast the [Wind dance]. With this skill, he allowed him to have an extra movement speed.

Ling smiled as well, knowing Hary was testing him on how much speed he had. First, he looked at him, seeing the gap to each other increase to 20 meters in an instant.

"If that's the case, let's have a try."

[Dash!]

Swoosh!

Soon, both of them ran for almost 1 minute, and Hary thought he made a huge distance with Ling as he didn't hear any kind of sound from his behind. Or to be exact, the only thing he could hear was the crow's sound echoing throughout the area.

"Hehe~ the difference with our speed is determined. I should lower my speed-" Hary can't complete his sentence after he saw Ling effortlessly running next to him all along. "What the hell? He's there all this time? But how I didn't notice him? Plus, how he could run without showing any kind of expression on his face? Don't tell me he can still go faster. This is my maximum speed."
