Emma and Ling left their current position right away, knowing how could be dangerous that attack.

Even though they noticed the attack and left the area immediately, still, it can't be helped both of them were forcefully pushed back due to the tremendous force. Now, they were rolling on the ground couple of times, only stopping when their bodies whacked on the wall.
Luckily, the damage they received was not that high, that's why they immediately regained their footing.
