"The start of every journey is rough," they said, with motivation pumping through my heart, I ventured out in the open grounds to do a training routine, running, push-ups, squats, you name it I did it. Over the past few months I noticed that I had made some progress, my muscles felt more hard, and my stamina had increased, I thought to myself. What do I do now? I decided to seek help with combatant training from a dojo. There weren't many around except one in particular. A very run-down shabby dojo, called "Sato's Dojo"
I decided to knock on the door, I wasn't that surprised but.. nobody answered the door. I hesitated, but brought myself to open the door. After doing so, looking at the inside, astonished me, it was clean, looked nice. But to add up to it all there was a man meditating, maybe I shouldn't had barged in here. I wonder how long he's been like this? I sit down besides the door until the rather old man finished with his meditation. He looks at me with a serious glare. One that sent shrills down my spine. I rethink my actions of coming here again, the man offers me to the main floor and asks for my name, "Who are you? Why are you here?" I nervously answer to the man, "My name.. is Akita."
"Akita? Have I met you before". To that, I disagree with him. He quickly realizes that he hadn't introduced himself, he introduces himself as Sato. He then proceeds to question my reasoning of being there. I simply respond by asking for his help, to train me with basic combat abilities.I tell him about myself. The old man has a stern look on his face. He laughs and says "Hoho, I haven't seen someone looking for me as a teacher in a long time" Akita, was it? I accept your request. But are you ready for the training I'm going to put you through? I non-hesitantly answer "Yes, I am willing to do so." The old man pats my back and goes to his room, bringing in some paper scrolls? I wonder what he's going to teach me.. The scrolls were inscribed with many texts. The old man scoffs and drags my attention towards the scrolls, saying "So.. I will be teaching you the martial art style called Renewal Taekwondo. Confused and Intrigued, I ask him what it was. To which he replies, it is a Martial art style which primarily focuses on leg combat, strength of the legs is a primary fundamental element in this style. The old man looks at me and asks me to demonstrate my strength to him, to which I reply "Huhhhh? I mean.. Okay. Sure" We go to the sparring area and I throw a kick at him. As lame as my kick was he tried in his laughter while I looked at him with a lame look on my face. I told the Sota that I needed proper guidance, he replies "Yes, you indeed do" The harsh training began. My training routine consisted of a 5km run, 200 squats and and Jump ropes. My so called training began and its my first day.. I was both nervous and looking forward to it.
