Sure, I can help with that. Here's the text with the correct paragraph formatting:
"So It gives them big brain for a bit of extra smarts, but I am guessing that an extra finger or so is the least of their concerns."
"Yea keep taking it an you could wind up with six fingers, and gills. Stop cold and your body tries to reject the foreign DNA, and whatever changes that it did to your body. An cause WM targets the brain first, ya are lucky if it just makes you as dumb as a rock, and unlucky if it makes your brain explode because it wants to grow bigger than the space in your skull can handle. About six geniuses take a dirt nap each year because of WM at LDU."
"Just glad I could make a difference in the battle against the Mod pushers in this city."
"You did more than make a difference. If we can get one of them to spill the dirty on the man behind the curtain pulling the strings, and making the Mod pills, you might just get an even bigger reward."
"I would be happy with one of those patrol air bikes sitting down in the motor pool. Thanks for helping me drag them to lock-up by the way."
"No prob rookie. If they send you back out on patrol, hit me up on the radio. If you can run into one of those always open shops and get me a Boom Boom E-Coffee, I will call us even for helping you drag those three up six flights of stairs."
"Sure, you got a deal. if not I will make arrangements for my personal assistant drone to get one to you tomorrow. I am not allowed to give it commands during my training hours, and I guess going out on patrol is somehow my training for the surprise start, or filling in for it because of staffing issues."
"Guess it is a perk of being a L one admin. Anyway I gotta split before the ol cap'n starts to wonder why I am not out looking for INI's, and curfew breakers."
Zeph was just glad that the hand off to CCO Si, and Sergeant Simmons was easy, as the manual he got shoved into his head by the Valkyrie Protocol did not cover anything dealing with lock-up, or the transfer of suspects. He had to go make a quick report to Captain Halt, and Commissioner Vaughn, who was going to be watching from the control room while he conducted the interrogation of Six fingered Joe, and Zorodo the nose. This would also be a good excuse for the Xo to duck out of the early morning training, and stick the instructors with the task of going through the dry material, while fighting to say awake, and punish the recruits that fell asleep in the middle of the lecture.
*knock, knock*
"Come Back With Coffee!!"
"Yes, captain."
"Oh, it is you cadet Demonbane. Forget the coffee get in here and tell me how the hell you as a day one cadet recruit managed to get cuffs on the to most wanted Mod Pushers in the city. I will send one of the less useful NEO's to bring us both a fresh cup of coffee. How do you take yours, sir."
"Any way but decaf, and please do not call me sir captain, I am just a cadet."
"If someone brought decaf into this HQ the Xo would put them on broom patrol for the rest of their life. You might be a cadet rookie, but you have a black badge on your chest. That more or less makes you the top dog. You could tell the mayor's body guard to put a LSP in her mouth, and he would have to do as you said, of face having his chip explode in his head, because you are a level one administrator at the end of the day. in truth the Xo should call you sir as well, but I guess you already know that, and call us all sir out of respect for being your seniors on the force. But really how did you do it?"
"I had not seen anyone all night except for this one collage age guy that was leaving the always open shop he worked at after his coworker came in late. if what I heard him mumbling to himself is true. I was going to ask him why he was out so late until I heard him. On my third trip around the area I was tasked to patrol, I spotted the same guy coming out a dark ally with a clear bottle in his hand. as soon as he noticed me he yelled run and took off running down the street. The other two we brought in then quicky ran out of the same ally. I yelled for them to stop running an put there hands in the air while drawing my mark six. when they failed to halt, I identified myself as a member of Black Badge, and ordered them to stop again. as expected they tried to run off in three different directions. Three quick power level two shots to the back of their legs had them kissing the asphalt."
"Make sure you word the official report a bit more in line with the standards outlined in the guide book you probably have not revived yet. it is not like central will hold a day one cadet to that standard, when he brought them such a juicy fish. Just so you know, the Xo, and I will be on the other side of the glass when you as the arresting officer conduct the initial interrogation. Just follow the Standards for Patrol and Interrogation of Suspects to the letter cadet, central will handle getting the skinny on the big man standing behind them. All you really need to do is soften them up a bit. if you get anything out of em, it is just icing on the cake."
"Got it, Article one subsection one, line three, it is."
"I am a little fussy on that one, as I don't conduct many interrogations anymore, thanks to being the captain of the public safety department night shift, can you refresh my memory on it?"
"Rank two Administrator Black Badge Nephilim Enforcement Officers should view the procedures in this manual as a list of proven methods of extracting information, but can use stronger methods if they see fit, while Rank One Administrator Badge Nephilim Enforcement Officers need only to use their own degression when determining what methods to use to extract information in the most time efficient manner, and can view this manual as purely suggestive."
"In common, and not lawyer."
"Playing by the book means that I use whatever I thing will get the information I want out of them the fastest way possible. I don't even need them to talk, as I can just directly access the VGPIINNC in their skulls, and see, and hear everything that they have done within the time frame of my choosing."
"So what you are saying is that no one can hide anything from a level one Admin member of Black Badge?"
"Only another level one could block us without risk of their head going pop, and by the way we can prevent, or make it go pop too, I think. I would not know for sure unless I tried."
"Scarry, a woman might a well stand naked in front of you to save you the trouble of peaking at her chip."
"Such things are possible, but laws are in place for such things as abusive use of authority. Even I have to follow the law. I even got the Stay Safe warning when asked to help my two roommates set the temp in the master bathroom's jet tub."
"Good to know, go see the Xo, and bang out the patrol report. Those three can chill out in a guest room at hotel Si, while you grab some breakfast with your squad, and do your daily debrief. I will arrange transport for you, and your squad to Tom's at noon. Just be sure to be down in the lobby by ten til. I am not gonna wait around to spend credits. I guess I will tell the guy that helped you drag em in his meal is on me too."
"Thanks Captain, I will see you at lunch time, if I do not have a chance to see you when we conduct the interrogation. I do not expect it to take very long."
"I will have the CCO guys put a bottle of iced coffee in the table in room N for you."
Zeph the Captain's office and reluctantly used a telapod pad to return to the academy floor so that could go make his report to the Xo like he was told to. Even though he knew he was going to cause a disturbance in the middle of the lecture that the Xo, or one of the instructors was giving on how to conduct contacts made during patrols, orders were orders. All he could do was to case as little of a disturbance as possible by opening the doors as quietly as he could, and quickly but quietly make his way back to his seat in the row assigned to squad one. The problem was that row was the one in the very front of the room. Needless to say that his return to class caused the senior instructor who was going over a few common sense things to keep in mind when taking to the general public during a patrol contact, as not everyone is a suspect that needs to be taken down, to stop his lessons.
"Nice of you to join us again Cadet Demonbane, I was just about to call for a breakfast break despite it being a bit early. You can give me and the Xo your report over some frosty O's and coffee. We already heard from the guys up at the station what you did Cadet. I think that you will be tasked with giving the rest of your cycle a guided tour of an interrogation room after breakfast."
