Its warm waters soothed his tired body as the powerful water jets washed away the stress he felt under the previously unfathomable amount of pressure he was under.
One mistake, one miscalculation, one unforeseen potential failure point, and the entire operation could go up in flames. Possibly quite literally, and it would ultimately be his fault.
