Just like the two of them planned it.
Right after Zeph locked lips with Allison, Laxana and Commissioner Vaughn turned toward the center of the altar, took two steps forward, turned toward the door, and moved in unison toward the first arch where they stood.
Jade stayed put while Sonya and Chief Bobby Marlecl repeated the actions of Laxana and Commissioner Vaughn, walking past them and taking up a post between them and the door.
Following them the other members of the Honor Guard moved to their respective posts along the sides of the aisle standing between the three arches.
Zeph stepped forward and linked arms with Allison and Lilith, pausing on the last step.
