*Psshiing*
"AAHHHHH!" Bolting toward a massive demonic giant the size or more bigger than that of Godzilla, I felt a massive shock to my side as I blacked out for a split second before righting myself and exploring into another direction to try and get into a more favorable position before getting hit again. "Gak-"
I didn't get far as a massive tail tendril slammed me several miles across the ruined buildings of a fallen world that depicted hell itself.
I only crashed and caught my breath while looking through the crack in my reinforced helmet as I couldn't even fathom how I was even still alive after being 'killed' a couple dozen times already.
"Argh!" I jolted myself off the indent I made and stumbled forward while feeling my broken bones creak back into place. "Shit… I'm seriously going to die… hehe~.*cough*"
I spat out a couple fragments of bones mixed into my blood.
Sniffing, I drew out another shotgun and cocked it as I then used my gear to launch myself across the city and almost instantly appeared right across its massive face and draconic red eyes.
*RAAAAAAHHHHH*
"AHHHHHH!!"

~3rd POV~
-Inside a virtual space detached from reality-
"Stop this! She doesn't deserve this!! It was a mistake!" Shouting from behind a glass dome, on one side, was a beautiful petite and tall woman with light brown hair tied into a long single braid over her shoulder as she banged on the glass while looking directly at the virtual construct of a world of symbols, letters and the unknown that could not be discerned.
If one looked at the little fluff at the center floor of this massive labyrinth of monitors and technology, they would find a 3 year old child with long black hair wearing a single white Lolita-themed style dress and a brown digital teddy bear in her tiny arms.
This entity was what both Allie and Kelly would come to know as, The System.
Yet, if one looked closer, they would see the kid had a very close to an uncanny resemblance to a fictional character that went by the world's greatest detective in her world.
"Please! Don't do this! I was wrong! Stop this!" Allie kept banging on the glass, to no avail as the little girls glistening black irises looked onto one of the monitors showing the grand battle between the peak of human and the vilest of monsters.
{"Silence."} The little girls words word and soo, Allie was no longer heard from her side as as Allie continued to plead but having her voice fall short, she soon turned back to what looked to be a little workstation with sticky-notes, a single computer and a detachable window that if looked closely, sported a lock with the color of a galaxy full of rapidly turning codes binding the window shut.
"Damn it." Allie collapsed onto her chair and slammed her hands onto the desk while her bright brown eyes turned to the computer and brought up to see the same fight happening in real time just outside. "I'm sorry… please… please, don't die… I can't go back… not to that endless darkness… please… "

-MC POV-
"Raaahhh!" With a fluid motion, I spun and drew out a breath while twisting my body and aiming right into its left eye as I fired and narrowly missed again just like the past ten times I tried. "Fuck! JUST LET ME KILL YOU!"
I next braced while being flung back to the ground and exploding while grunting in pain and opening my eyes to see a massive claw coming to my head.
*Psshhh*
Disappearing before it could impact, I spun in mid-air and snapped onto its horn while driving myself upwards and going for another try in order to blind it.
While going up, If let a sudden pull and let go while spinning upwards and extending myself back while taking the hit and gritting my teeth as I screamed and took aim into its very massive eye while barely pressing on my shotgun's trigger.
*Boom*
The shot narrowly hit at the corner of its eye and in a reflective jerk, I was flung miles away once more while I tried to correct myself but the sheer weight of the wind was preventing me from doing so.
While I was about to come to a stop, I get the world quake all of the sudden and as soon as I righted my head while upside down from the ground, I widened my eyes and braced with all my might as a massive knee came barreling towards me.
"FU-"
*BOOM!*
The world blanked out as I shot stupidly fast across the surface of the world and by the time I came to a stop, I felt a majority of my body was unable to move or respond to my orders.
Everything was wrong but I also felt myself healing again as I struggled to breathe while my lungs were already shot.
"S-sh-…." I couldn't curse anymore as I moved my one good eye to the sky and saw the massive monster gathering up a hazy red storm while it's back and mouth glowed an ominous red.
I couldn't chuckle but if I could, I would be as this whole time I have been lost in the power of my new life.
I always thought that reincarnators had it easy. They could do whatever they wanted and damn restrictions or consequences.
Looking into the face of what would undoubtedly end my existence with its next attack, I couldn't help but feel the time I had lived was vastly different from the time I grew up as a normal guy in my past life.
It felt more fulfilling. To be given everything but not having a solid purpose.
It was different from my last life when I had next to nothing but I did strive to save up for a house and live a happy life.
Was it…
Was it because I don't have a mission or purpose that things ended up like this? Sure, I could have continued to ignore the things that I don't like and push them aside or left them for some other day…
Was that really what I wanted? What is it that I truly want?
Hehe…
Why is it right then that a flash of Kara floating above everyone else came to mind?
What is it…
A hero? Do I really want to be a hero? Is that why I keep going to places looking for something to do?
No…
Ugh, this hurts my head.
*PZZZ-BOOM*
It felt as if a cosmic force broke the world as I watched that bright beam of light came hurtling towards me.
My life then suddenly began flashing past my eyes. Both my past life and then…
This new one. It was surreal. This didn't happen before. Not in my last death. Why is it happening now? Because I'm truly going to die?
I didn't have a reason to enjoy my new life. I didn't want a reason to end my last one either.
But I always felt…
Trapped? I guess that's not the best word. But at the end of the day, it was just what it was.
And as for Allie…
At least this Allie was different from my ex. This Allie at least is upfront of her thoughts and doesn't lead me around the nose.
Not like that manipulative snake that wanted me to keep dating after knowing how many guys she's still hooked up with.
Maybe…
Maybe my reason why I don't live is because I can't trust anyone…
Even my Allie…
I'm…
I'm sorry, you had a shitty host like me…
I'm sorry, Allie.

-3rd POV-
*Swoosh*
Dropping from several meters from the sky, a single reflective light soon came rushing down when all of a sudden, a drenched, blonde haired woman who had just saved a plane moments prior soon felt a terrible familiarity as her head and bright luminescent blue eyes onto the falling object in the skies.
"It's her!" With a speed neary breaking the sound barrier, Kara soon stopped and caught the unconscious Kelly in her arms while narrowly falling as Kelly weighed more than she could have known. "Heavy! Huh? Oh no!"
Upon seeing the wretched state of Kelly's beat up body, she soon shot across the globe and stopped at where her cousin was while holding Kelly and feeling tears falling down her face.
"Whoa… what-Is that?" Kara nodded while suddenly sensing and locating Clark, her cousin flashed and grabbed his phone and made a call to a close friend who could help them take a look at Kelly.
Half an hour later, a man soon appeared while being followed by a team of experts and rushed into the apartment as Kara was then needed to check Kelly's status as her armor was more difficult than anything they had ever seen before to remove before transporting to a secure black site in the desert.

After a lengthy process, discovery after discovery, everyone present on the opposite side of the operating room soon turned grim.
"And your cousin… Kara, she said she found her free falling from up in the air?" J'onn J'onzz, otherwise the Director for the D.E.O., soon had a very anxious look on his face as anything that could make such a person on the operating table into such a state was definitely not something that would be good for his planet. "Any idea what she was fighting?"
Shaking his head, Superman revealed that he had circled the world a number of times and whether wherever she came from, it was not on their present Earth.
"She should tell us something when she wakes up." Superman said and then turned his eyes while looking through a wall and seeing Kara sitting patiently while holding her necklace that he gave to her in regards from Kelly on Kara's 18th birthday with that sudden letter that appeared in her hands as if by magic. "I hope you'll be able to handle her wrath, Miss Kelly."
Laying on the table, Kelly was seemingly knocked out until…
A twitch from one of her fingers went unnoticed as her mind and body were slowly but surely being repaired.
It was only time for her to wake up once more.
Yet, elsewhere, she was also having a peculiar conversation with a tiny girl who was sitting on her bed as Kelly turned to suddenly find Allie behind her glass dome and unable to hear her as the brief instance, another voice tore through the silence.
{"… we finally meet, Nathan Kells."}
